The Hong Kong film industry was severely impacted by the novel coronavirus, as the production rate was almost zero. Many film workers did not eat if they did not work. The Hong Kong Performing Artists Guild and the Federation of Hong Kong Film Workers earlier called for and received donations from 10 Hong Kong film companies and others for film basic level people pandemic relief. Early this month many colleagues have already received the money.
In order to thank those who contributed to the pandemic relief effort, PAG president Louis Koo Tin Lok and director Andrew Lau Wai Keung earlier held a banquet to treat this group of behind the scene contributors including Candy Yu On On, Chin Kar Lok, Terence Siufay and J.Arie (Lui Sum Yu). Goo Jai presented appreciation certificates to them. Yu On On even happily embraced Goo Jai for a photo when she accepted her certificate. She also thanked all the volunteers for their help to make this happen in a short time. The event also celebrated Siufay's belated birthday, and he could not be more surprised.
