Artists Francis Ng Chun Yu and Loletta Lee Lai Chun starred new film DRIFTING (JOOK SHUI PIU LAU) will open soon. In the trailer Chun Yu's line as a homeless person, "Sham Shui Po is where poor people live", with "street friends" Tse Kwan Ho, Baby Po Pui Yu had their "homes" cleared out, led to community discussions. Conceivably the audience would not find the film hard to relate to.
The film reportedly was based on a real story bout a group of homeless people who lived under a bridge in Sham Shui Po being neglected and marginalized by society. The actors did a lot of preparations before hand. Chun Yu said, "For this real story that enrages street friends, the script of course would have unpleasant scenes. During the shoot the more I thought about it the more I got, after drinking a little it was like adding fuel to the fire. I was able to get into the role much easier."
