[2012.04.05] MICHELLE CHEN HAS DIAMOND RINGS BUT NO MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

In order to promote their new film THE SOUL OF BREAD, leads Chen Han-Tien and new generation goddess Michelle Chen came from Taiwan and two nights ago dressed up for the film's Hong Kong premiere.  They first greeted everyone in Cantonese.  Chen Han-Ten revealed that in one scene in which he left after Michelle Chen, she suddenly turned around and stepped right on his shoe.  However they remained very professional, did not laugh and continued to finish the shoot.  Chen Han-Tien as a host in Taiwan often came up with his own ideas, which he demonstrated two nights ago in front of the Hong Kong audience.  Near the end of the event he said that he had a gift for the goddess in front of the fans, went down on one knee and brought out a giant diamond ring to propose to Michelle Chen.  "Will you marry me?"  Michelle Chen was caught off guard and did not know how to respond.  She replied in English I do.

After the ceremony, Michelle Chen and Chen Han-Tien shook hands with fans and posed for a group photo.  Michelle Chen admitted that it was the first time that someone proposed to her in this manner, but at this stage she never thought about marriage.  As for diamond rings, she said, "I have accepted diamonds, they were from my parents.  I also had some from boyfriend.  (Was it as big as this time?)  It is appropriately sized.  It's just a gift, not for a proposal."

During the Hong Kong promotion they have not had any personal time yet.  Michelle Chen hoped to be able to walk around after finishing work.  Seeing the film company in coordination with the film subject gave everyone a pineapple bun, she admitted that she would like to have the famous Hong Kong butter pineapple bun.  Chen Han-Tien only went out around the hotel.  He said that he would like to see the Victoria harbor the most.  Would they like to go to Lan Kwai Fong?  They were interested.

In addition, yesterday they went to Mongkok for audience appreciation.  When asked about their box office expectation, Michelle Chen said that this film's story was cute and warm and recommended it to everyone.  After finishing their final public event in Hong Kong, did they plan to go out?  Chen Han-Tien said that he had to return to Taiwan on the same day, Michelle Chen would stay in Hong Kong for interviews but would take time to have dinner with friends.  She also admitted that she has been in negotiation to make a Hong Kong film, but she was still in the script review stage.  What character would she like to play?  She hoped
to challenge characters with multiple personalities.  Chen Han-Tine said that he would like to play a deranged character.  Michelle Chen joked that this character was right for him.  As for Hong Kong actor who was like to work with, Chen Han-Tien honestly said Stephen Chow Sing Chi while Michelle Chen would very much like to work with her idol Andy Lau Tak Wa.
