The Huang Lei and Qin Hailu starred the "Top Play of Beijing", THE YELLOW STORM, is imported into Hong Kong for the first time. Starting last night it held a three show charity run at the Cultural Center. The first show's proceeds will be donated to the "Andy Lau Charity Foundation".
Last night many industry insiders came in support. They included Andy Lau Tak Wa, Deanie Ip Tak Han, Fala Chen and Cherie Chung Chor Hung. Soon to be a father, Wa Jai inevitably stole the show as he politely informed the media that he would not conduct any interview. Sister Deanie said that she liked to watch plays but worried that her Putonghua was not good enough to understand. Was Sister Deanie interested in performing a play? She said, "Earlier someone asked, unfortunately due to script and cast issues I didn't perform." Reporters suggested that she could ask Lau Tak Wa to invest in a show. She said, "When would he have the time? Let it be." Sister Deanie said that she enjoyed Broadway shows very much and hoped to have a chance to work with Wa Jai, Andy Hui Chi On, Eason Chan Yik Shun and others. Earlier Sister Deanie enjoyed Ivana Wong Yuen Chi's musical and concert and praised her as a rare talent. She said, "She is a good actress, a good singer, very rarely she is able to turn her original voice into another type of sound, which is something to be happy about."
