April 16 was Shu Qi's 36th birthday.  Media Asia boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok held a birthday party for her and also celebrate Lo Hoi Pang's LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM) Best Supporting Actor award.  Lau Ching Wan and his wife Amy Kwok Oi Ming, Donnie Yen Chi Tan and his wife Cissy Wang, Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Ivana Wong Yuen Chi all attended.  Although she lost the Best Actress to Deanie Ip Tak Han, Shu Qi admitted that she was not disappointed and she even expected it.

Speaking of this year's birthday wish, Shu Qi said that she wished for kindness in everyone and for them to face the beautiful world with gratitude.  She was very happy that her friends sent their well wishes.  She said, "My 'ten or so months' in this business weren't wasted."  Shu Qi earlier was attacked online due to her microblog support of Yen Chi Tan.  Chi Tan two nights ago said that he would give her a surprise present in compensation.  Shu Qi said that she did not need any compensation.  She thought that a lot had nothing to do with her.  Now her microblog has reopened and she hoped the matter would quickly fade.  She said, "I sometimes want to be literary and would write a line or two there."  She said that she should let go of a lot of things and did not need to mind too much.

Yesterday was Shu Qi's birthday.  She said that she would celebrate with her mother.  She also asked the paparazzi not to get too close for photos as she did not want to scare her mother.  Shu Qi earlier met with Stephen Fung Tak Lun at night and rumored ensued.  Shu Qi said that they have known each other for over a decade.  Would they have a chance?  She joked that biggest chance would be with Lau Wai Keung.  She joked, "He is always saying that I am his chick."  Did she want to find someone to rely on?  Shu Qi admitted that she did although Mommy said that being single was the best.

Best Actor favorite Lau Ching Wan two nights ago attended the celebration with his wife.  He said that he would not be disappointed as award shows definitely had victories and defeats.  He wished Andy Lau Tak Wa Double Happiness.  Did he and his wife have parenthood plans?  He said that this plan has already been abandoned for a long time.  Lo Hoi Pang said that yesterday he would return to Zhuhai to continue work on Johnnie To Kei Fung's film.  Brother Pang said that the team asked him not to return empty handed.  He admitted that when he returned to Hong Kong he had some pressure.
