September 12 would have been Gor Gor Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's 56th birthday. Yesterday Gor Gor's manager Chan Suk Fun along with her son Ka Ho, good friend Lin Yim Fai, Mrs. Chang Chieh, Gor Gor's assistant Kenneth and a group of fans went to Po Fuk Hill to pay their respect. Fans from Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and Japan brought flowers, cakes, cards and thousand origami cranes.
Chan Suk Fun revealed that April 1 will be the tenth anniversary of Cheung Kwok Wing's passing. She planned to hold a tenth anniversary memorial event at the Hong Kong Coliseum and began to contact television stations and organizer friends everywhere in hopes of a satellite broadcast for friends and fans of Gor Gor to enjoy. The memorial event is planned for Sunday, March 31st 2013. Mainland fans have begun to fold origami cranes with blessings for Gor Gor. Chan Suk Fun asked fans to use A4 size, neon red paper so the fan folded origami cranes would demonstrate the memorial event stage.
