[2012.10.04] NICHOLAS TSE AND LAU CHING WAN VIE FOR ASIA PACIFIC BEST ACTOR

The 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival will take place between December 13 and 16 in Macau. Yesterday the Federation of Motion Film producers of Hong Kong announced the nominations. THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN), LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM), THE SILENT WAR (TING FUNG JEH), TURNING POINT 2 (LAUGHING GOR ji CHIM JUI FAN) and CHINESE GHOST STORY (LIU JAI ji SIN NUI YAU WON) will represent Hong Kong in competition, as selected film will automatically compete in Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and other categories.

Lau Ching Wan and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung with LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE and THE VIRAL FACTOR respectively received the Golden Horse Best Actor nominations. Now they again with these two films compete for the Asia Pacific Best Actor with THE SILENT WAR's Tony Leung Chiu Wai, TURNING POINT 2's Francis Ng Chun Yu and Michael Tse Tin Wa and CHINESE GHOST STORY's Louis Koo Tin Lok. With his first Best Actor nomination at the Golden Horse, VULGARIA's To Man Jat was also nominated for the Asia Pacific Film Festival but for TURNING POINT 2.

LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE's Golden Horse Best Actress nominees Denise Ho Wan Si is also nominated for the Asia Pacific Best Actress against Best Actresses like THE SILENT WAR's Zhou Xun and TURNING POINT 2's Wai Ying Hung.
