Julian Cheung Chi Lam joins Stephen Shiu Jr.'s company and ends his 10 year relationship with his former company Jet Tone. Reportedly the parting was not amicable. Two days ago he posted his former manager's foul language laced message online and said that it was "memorable". Cheung Chi Lam yesterday stressed that his relationship with Jet Ton was good and admitted that he was polite. Speaking of training Wing Chun for 10 years for only 6 seconds in THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI), Cheung Chi Lam denied that it was the reason that he made the switch.
Cheung Chi Lam yesterday attended an anchor contest. Two days ago he posted his former Jet Tone manager Ms. Leung's facebook foul language laced message. He even wrote, "Thank you Jet Tone film company for your evaluations of me for the past 10 years, every reply and every word have been memorable to me!" Later he rapidly removed the post.
Cheung Chi Lam yesterday said, "It's not my fault, I am very polite! Am I not very polite? My relationship with Jet Tone has always been great and it ended greatly too. Some news are personal matters. Did she attack me? You ask Ms. Leung!" Speaking of Ms. Leung not yelling at him by name in the post, Cheung Chi Lam only said, "I don't know, I won't respond again. Jet Ton and I have worked together pleasantly for years, this is a personal feeling release." As for the rapid post removal, Cheung Chi Lam said, "Did I remove it? Actually Ms. Leung asked for it to be removed and didn't want to keep it going. We aren't in the a war of words, we don't just want to be unhappy and have negative energy."
Cheung Chi Lam denied that he was upset that Jet Tone did not help him with his career. "I have many jobs, for example foreign television series. The old company helped with a record release and concerts. They deserve a lot of credit." Speaking of all the Wing Chun training in exchange for 6 seconds in THE GRANDMASTERS, Cheung Chi Lam said, "Actually I have been practicing Wing Chun for more than 1 year. In 2003 when I joined Jet Tone and learned that I had to make THE GRANDMASTERS I already went to learn it. However I don't need to tell others how hard I work. I wasn't unhappy, being able to participate was already a very rare experience. At least I learned Wing Chun." He said that the company switch was unrelated to the size of THE GRANDMASTERS' role. "Working with each company has been fate, every time I hope to make a good connection."
