Louis Koo Tin Lok, Vicki Zhao Wei, Wallace Chung Han Leung, Michael Tse Tin Wa, Raymond Wong Ho Yin, Timmy Hung Ti Ming, Tam Yuk Ying and Adrian Wong Tsz Ching yesterday worked on the Johnnie To Kei Fung directed new film THREE in Panyu, Guangzhou. The story took place in a hospital. Goo Jai played a cop who swore to kill the armed robber Chung Han Leung. The doctor Zhao Wei overlooked who they were and guarded her role in social ethics. The team even spent over 10 million RMB to build a hospital set in Panyu for the production.
The film company yesterday arranged for Hong Kong and Mainland media to visit the Panyu set. Goo Jai said that the production has started since the Lunar New Year. He revealed that in one scene over 80 people will have to perform together in one straight take. They have already practiced for a long time and the shoot will take place later. The medical equipment used in the film was shipped from Hong Kong. A doctor was also present. Zhao Wei spent half a month on medical training before the shoot. She said that even the doctor praised that she looked more convincing than a real doctor. She joked that she was only convincing in pretending. As soon as Goo Jai saw the bloody brain surgery he would run away after repeatedly saying "wow". Goo Jai explained that he never imagined that he would watch an entire brain operation. As for the lack of romance between them, Goo Jai joked, "All three are cold blooded and numb." Chung Han Leung said that most of his scenes would be in bed. Basically his feet never touched the ground so he was very bored. He had some scars on his face, which he said only took half a hour in make up. Did he have more jobs after being named a "god" in the Mainland? Zhao Wei chimed in and said that many Mainland girls liked him. He said that he has always had a lot of jobs, but he could only work on one at a time.
When Zhao Wei's series was aired in the Mainland, a viewer sued her for psychological damages from her mean stares. Zhao Wei joked, "It's no big deal. (Did you leave it with your lawyers?) I believe no court would hear it. (Would you go easy on your eyes from now on?) Next time I will perform with sunglasses."
Wong Tsz Ching played a nurse in the film. Working with Goo Jai and Zhao Wei, she described it as if she walked into her television set because normally she could only see them on television. She also joked, "This time I really am sweating bullets, because when I got to work I realized that the other nurse actors already went to their training course. Luckily my scenes were postponed. Now I am practicing hard." When sh saw the medical equipment she would be reminded of when her mother was in the hospital for treatment earlier. She also thought that nurses were noble. Not only did they take care of the patients' body but also their soul. Thus she wanted to thank them again through this performance.
