The father of "SHREK" Raman Hui Sing Ngai returned home to direct the big summer production MONSTER HUNT (JOOK YIU GEI), which will open on July 16. The film cost 440 million yuan and was a live action and computer generated film. Aside from the Hui Sing Ngai led Hollywood production team, the cast included Bai Baihe, Jing Boran, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Tang Wei, Yao Chen and Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling). Kwan Yu and Chi Wai played a pair of demons in human skin. When they learned about their own "demon" look, they could not have more fun.

Chi Wai and Kwan Yu played "Tall Bamboo" and "Fat Ying". After they became demons they completely changed from their own image. Chi Wai was a tall and skinny demon with four arms and two legs, while Kwan Yu was a fat and short demon. Chi Wai joked, "I can't like it any more than I do." Kwan Yu said, "When I first read the script, Fat Ying was a beautiful woman before turning into a demon. I of course had to take the role. After the production began I realized that it was a fat girl character." As for why one of the demons had four arms and two legs and the other two arms and four legs, Hui Sing Ngai said, "Because the male demon to make a living for his family, he had to have four arms to handle it. The male demon constantly chased the female demon, so she needed four legs to get away fast."

Tang Wei also had a completely different image. She played a bossy and sassy retired priestess who sold demons instead of catching them, the owner of a demon shop. Tang Wei said, "The character is a lot of fun. Everyday on the set I can't be more high." The director revealed that Tang Wei after finishing her scene was reluctant to leave the production because she had too much fun. She even joked that she wanted more scenes.
