In IP MAN 3 the Max Zhang Jin played "Cheung Tin Chi" left a deep impression with the audience. The film company thus followed up with the spin off IP MAN LEGACY: MASTER Z (IP MAN OI JUEN: CHEUNG TIN CHI). The film not only had Zhang Jin as its star but also "Lord Eight" Yuen Woo Ping as its director, Raymond Wong Pak Ming and Donnie Yen Chi Tan as its producers. The film is planned for the end of the year release. As the post production for the film was heating up, yesterday the 23rd Busan International Film Festival announced that this year's closing film will be IP MAN LEGACY: MASTER Z. Zhang Jin said, "I got the news as soon as I got off the plane. I was very excited. This time I will team up with Master Lord Eight, we will be able to bring kung fu action to different nations for everyone to enjoy. I am truly very happy."
In IP MAN LEGACY: MASTER Z was not only the gold label kung fu action team of Zhang Jin and Master Lord Eight, Zhang Jin also teamed with former professional wrestler and SPECTRE and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY star Dave Bautista, Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), Tony Jaa for freshness in kung fu action; the film also had Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Patrick Tam Yiu Man.
