September 12th would have been Gor Gor Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's 62nd birthday. As in previous years for each of "Gor Gor's" birth and memorial anniversaries, Japanese "Gor" fans would fold origami cranes for "Gor Gor". Japanese "Gor" fans this time used "Gor Gor's" favorite rose as the them, folding 912 different hue pink origami cranes and would personally present them to "Gor Gor" at Po Fook Shan as a 62nd birthday present. "Gor" fans wrote, "Our most beloved Leslie, Happy Birthday! For your 62nd birthday, we used 'sweet rose' as the theme to create a new series of origami cranes. These 912 cranes are like a batch of pink roses, each one represents our everlasting love and respect for you. Happy Birthday! Love Always ~ Continue Cheung Kwok Wing".
