Stephen Chow Sing Chi's new film THE NEW KING OF COMEDY brought back together the golden team of Chow Sing Chi and Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, only from on camera o off. Yesterday's "Wan Tin Sau" has become the director and invited "Lau Piu Piu" Pak Chi to provide her voice to the film. Sing Yeh admitted that if he had to make KING OF COMEDY, Cheung Pak Chi was naturally the only choice. She said, "He is still very young, not as weathered as I would imagine directors would be." When asked why he invited Pak Chi to provide her voice to the film, Sing Yeh said, "We are making KING OF COMEDY! If I don't ask her, I don't know who I would ask."
Sing Yeh has countless classic films. This time he shot KING OF COMEDY with a new story. Pak Chi felt that this was a great choice. She explained, "Most people felt that Chow Sing Chi was comedy. How many 20 years does a lifetime have, make what you want to make!"
