Tony Leung Chiu Wai after becoming the first Chinese actor to received the Venice Film Festival "Lifetime Achievement Golden Lion Award" earlier at the 36th Golden Rooster Awards in Xiamen with the film HIDDEN BLADE (MO MING) won his first Golden Rooster Awards Best Actor to become the first Hong Kong actor to win the Hong Kong Film Award, Golden Horse Award and Golden Rooster Award Best Actor to for the "triple golden" honor.
Leung Chiu Wai's latest film THE GOLDFINGER (GUM SAU JI) would open at the end of the year on December 30th simultaneously around the world. The film would be Felix Chong Man Keung directed and produced, with two Best Actors Leung Chiu Wai and Andy Lau Tak Wa leading the cast that would include Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Tai Po, Carlos Chan Ka Lok, Michael Ning (Bak Ji), Philip Keung Ho Man, Alex Fong Chung Shun, Kaki Sham, Catherine Chau Ka Yi, Renci Yeung Sze Wing and others. Leung Chiu Wai played the chair of a group with a mysterious background. After failing in business in Malaysia Timur in the 70s he returned to Hong Kong to start a business, from earning his first bucket of gold to developing an enterprise empire that was worth over 17 billion but actually was a financial scam within another scam; playing the Independent Commission Against Corruption high ranking investigating supervisor, Wa Jai was ordered to investigate and began an anti corruption war that lasted for half a lifetime, used over 100 investigators and span Europe, America and Asia.
