The film READY O/R KNOT (BUT YUT SING FUN) went from Carlos Chan Ka Lok and Michelle Wai Sze Nga experiencing challenges in their relationship to making up, then in READY O/R ROT (BUT YUT SING FUN 2) they happily planned their wedding but faced the greatest challenge between future mother and daughter in law. This time even added Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling) as this future mother in law.

Ka Lok and Sze Nga admitted that "Sister Kam" Kam Yin Ling had quite a presence, but "Miss Congeniality" Sze Nga still was able to become friends with Sister Kam. After working they would text each other. After the film production was done they would still meet for tea. However at work in front of this demanding elder, she could only memorize her lines, stay alert to prevent any mishap; Ka Lok has met Kam Yin Ling early in his film career, but they did not have many scenes together. When he saw her telling the director her demands on her costume, at first he thought they were arguing and was frightened. However actually she was persistent with her point of view. "So this time I was reminded of this, in addition the director scared us by saying that with Sister Kam, don't misremember your lines. So I ended up with a little pressure. However as soon as work began I discovered that Sister Kam was very friendly. Actually she would talk about the trivial matters in her life, she wasn't as serious as I expected." Sze Nga also praised Kam Yin Ling's acting, during the shoot she motivated them to get into the mood. For the finale, the staff on the set after the shoot all got a little teary eyed.

Ka Lok said that he was present for Kam Yin Ling and Sze Nga's scene. The shot only caught him eating rice, but he ended up eating the while a rice cooker worth. Sze Nga said, "We didn't have any bad take, only the director wanted to shoot from many different angles." Ka Lok said, "I don't know whether the director was deliberately pranking me, I was in the background but couldn't pretend and had to really eat the rice. I ended up eating a whole rice cooker worth. In the previous film I had to eat the oatmeal like instant noodle that Sze Nga made!" How was his wife Shiga Lin's cooking in real life? Ka Lok did not dare to hesitate, "Of course it's great, she really cooks very well!" Wai Sze Nga joked, "If I cook it's a big mess. Ka Lok while working on READY O/R ROT (BUT YUT SING FUN 2) announced his successful marriage proposal. At the time Wai Sze Nga even participated in the planning of his marriage proposal. Although the second film has yet to be released, the third installment has already begun planning. Director Anselm Chan Mau Yin wanted them to shoot the process of having a child. Wai Sze Nga raised her hand and wanted to get married and start a family as soon as possible. She even demanded the director to follow her to the delivery room for the actual shoot and shoot the entire birthing process from the baby's point of view. However she has yet to long to wed, nor has she thought about becoming a Year of the Dragon bride. Ka Lok joked that she revealed her other half was not in the business. Sze Nga pretended not to hear and said, "Ultimately my wedding wouldn't be too big!" Has her other half proposed? She sighed and wanted to change the subject. "Ka Lok when are you going to have a baby?" Ka Lok refused to answer and assisted with questioning Wai Sze Nga.
