Best Actor Gordon Lam Ka Tung two nights ago attended the "Seo-Bo-Long Video Festival", the "Floral Princess 65 Fantasy" project director Chan Sin Chi said that he called in all the favors to invite Ka Tung to be the judge. He hoped through a celebrity the winning work would be chosen. Ka Tung admitted, "The event had no production budget. I prefer more solid work. Earlier I watched until 1 AM, watching all the work twice as I wanted to choose the best in my mind."
Speaking of the Hong Kong Film Awards nomination announcements yesterday, Ka Tung's films DUST TO DUST (DAI BAK GOR YIM YI YUN), MAD FATE (MING ONG) and I DID IT MY WAY (CHIM HUNG) were all nominated but not for him personally. He joked that he got a big goose egg, but admitted that he would be disappointed, "The most important is to respect the event's demands, I am happy, seeing Da Peng getting the Best Actor nomination, Cheang Pou Soi challenging for Best Director again." Chan Sin Chi joked that Ka Tung made too many films and thinned out his votes. Ka Tung said, "They were all made during the pandemic, they just happened to all be released last year." Chan Sin Chi joked that awards were only "cash and prizes". Ka Tung immediately said, "That's right, I only want scripts!"
