[2024.10.05] CANDY WONG SCARES HERSELF FROM WATCHING HER FIRST HORROR MOVIE

Philip Keung and Candy Wong make a very fresh father and daughter pair.
courtesy of on.cc

Philip Keung Ho Man (Hak Gor) recently left for Yemen with the TVB program production team. During the filming, the Israeli army launched a large-scale air strike in western Yemen. Missing and lost contact for a while, Hak Gor reported that he was safe online. He has completed the filming with the crew under safe conditions before setting off for Hong Kong. Yesterday, Hak Gor and the film crew will pass through Doha, then transfer back to Hong Kong.

The Hak Gor, COLLAR members Candy Wong Ka Ching and Alan Yeung Wai Lun starred film POSSESSION STREET (CHEH MALL) has officially announced that it will be released on Halloween on October 31. The film would be a horror movie with the rarely seen Hong Kong subject of zombies.

The movie used an abandoned property as the story background. It told the story of an old shopping mall that was about to be demolished. Due to an accident zombies that spread from person to person appeared in the mall, and everyone started a massacre in the narrow space! All the tenants and visitors in the mall were in danger, and their true colors were exposed one after another. Keung Ho Man, Wong Ka Ching and Yeung Wai Lun joined forces to protect those who have yet to leave, and raced against time to escape from the mall...

Hak Gor and Candy played father and daughter in the film. The Hak Gor played "Sam Gor" loved movies and opened a video store in the shopping mall. He had a stubborn and difficult personality but tried his best to provide the best for his daughter throughout his life; the Candy played "Ah Yan" was quite filial and often spent time helping her father look after the store. Distant relatives could not compared to close neighbors, next door was the Yeung Wai Lun played "Master Mak". He has always had a friendly relationship with the father and daughter. This time they jointly faced the big challenge of the disaster at the shopping mall.

For her first film production Candy also sacrificed another "first time". She said, "It was my first time I watched a horror movie in a theater. Although it isn't a traditional ghost movie, when you watch it in the theater all the sensory experiences will be amplified. With the addition of post-production, all the scenes will be more realistic, so I am a little nervous. I hope I won't scare myself, haha!"

After learning that the film will be released on Halloween, Hak Gor who was at work in Yemen said, "It's so fitting! It's my first zombie movie, and the process is very exciting. I prefer the father-daughter relationship with Candy. Everyone, remember to come and support the movie."

Hong Kong's first radiation disaster film CESIUM FALLOUT (FUN SUN) starring Andy Lau Tak Wa and Karen Mok Man Wai will open on November 1st; the Hong Kong edition poster and production special "Heavy Training" also appeared yesterday.

The latest production special, "Heavy Training", focused on the actors who played firefighters. Winner of the breakthrough actor of the year at the Chinese TV Dramas Annual Ceremony last year, Bai Yu teamed up with Golden Horse Best Actor Gardner Tse Kwan Ho and led a group of new-generation actors Louise Wong Dan Nei, Fish Liew Chi Yu, Dee Ho Kai Wa, Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun, Leung Chung Hang, Locker Lam Ka Hei, Wesley Wong Hoi Kit and others into the fire to form the strongest team of enthusiastic firefighters. In the production special, the rigorous training each person received before filming was showcased; striving to present the true face of firefighting work, they have undergone a condensed version of the "fire intensive reading class", such as learning to wear "golden armors", operate blasting tools, and master various professional terminology and gestures. In addition to the technical challenges, the group also has to develop team spirit through physical training.

One of the most stressful was the mid-air ropes training, where a group of actors were taken to the rooftop of a over 20-story building in preparation for challenging themselves in a rope array. Tse Kwan Ho volunteer to be a photographer and was eventually exempted from training. He quipped, "I am supporting them from below, haha! I am a photographer, so I should hide behind the camera."

Taking the challenge first, Jeffrey was already very frightened when he watched the coach's demonstration. He exclaimed, "It's not regular difficulty." Although there were safety measures in place for the ropes, the distance from the rope array to the ground was more than 20 stories high, and everyone at the scene held their breath. In the end Jeffrey successfully completed the challenge, cheered loudly and said, "I want to vomit a little. I really regretted it halfway up, and I almost wanted to give up."

Dee even jokingly asked, "Can't I skip this?" He kept encouraging himself, "I am really not scared......" Although he joked that he wanted to give up midway, he still insisted on completing the challenge. Leung Chung Hang said that he has never played this kind of high-altitude activity. Although he felt apprehensive, he successfully completed it. With excellent athletic genes, Wesley completed the challenge at will with ease, and his vigorous posture even drew applause. Meanwhile, Locker was very calm and confident.

Louise had to overcome psychological obstacles before the challenge, "Actually I am afraid of heights, even on drop tower rides I get scared." With the advantage of her long hands and feet she successfully completed the challenge; she even made a superhuman pose in mid-air, which was quite imposing. However her good sister Fish did not do as well. She normally would not even dare to ride the Ferris wheel. Fish kept trembling on the rope formation; unable to move forward, she was so scared that she even cried in mid-air. She later recalled, "I thought whether I would die there, my entire body was shaking. When I saw everyone looking at me, I felt so embarrassed; but when I saw everyone cheering me on, I also felt a kind of team spirit."

After finishing, Louise continued to comfort Fish and offered to accompany her to complete the challenge together. Finally the two supported each other to pass the test smoothly. Fish said, "After finishing this I seem to be able to do anything, and I have established a bond of mutual trust with Louise!"

After the high-altitude training, producer Bill Kong Chi Keung also arranged for an outdoor barbecue and group games to further deepen the chemistry and trust between the actors; so that everyone could create a friendship of risking their lives for each other on and off screen.

In addition, the Fish and MIRROR captain Lokman starred new drama recently aired, and the first time the two met was actually at a movie premiere. Fish joked that this encounter was similar to the script. "We met by chance more than ten years ago, but we didn't have the opportunity to get to know each other. The series sums up the understanding of life for the 30 something set like us."

After a devastating stunt accident, Sam steps away from the industry for 30 years. However, his old friend, a veteran director, has now persuaded Sam to work as the stunt choreographer on what will be the director's last film. The only catch is that his film stars Wai - Sam's former stunt crew member who has since become a famous action star in his own right. Sam and Wai have a contentious history, with Sam's infamously overbearing and demanding personality clashing with Wai's own ego and ambition. By chance, Sam crosses paths with a young, ambitious stuntman named LEE Sai Long, who sees this as an opportunity to advance his career. Long is caught between Sam and his former protégé turned rival. At the same time, Long helps Sam to reconcile with his estranged daughter, Cherry. As Sam returns to the world he once dominated, he must confront his past, mend fences with Wai, and overcome their personal conflicts in order to deliver an epic final action spectacle for the director's swan song. However, in the midst of shooting a robbery heist, Sam's shortsightedness endangers the public, and members of his crew are arrested, causing him to be fired. [2024.10.02] BOBBY AUYEUNG WOULD RATHER PLAY THIRD TIER ROLES IN HIS RETURN TO FILM

Bobby Auyeung calls himself an old newbie.

Bobby Auyeung is not demanding ot be a leading actor in films. He hopes to take it step by step and play some second- and third-tier roles with performance potential.

Bobby Auyeung and his wife Fu Kit Ying have been married for 28 years

Bobby Auyeung won the TVB Best Actor Award in 2000 with A WITNESS TO PROSECUTION

In 2013 Bobby Auyeung was rushed to the hospital with acute pneumonia, after 12 hours he almost ended up in a vegetative state as he held on to life on the brink of death. He stayed at the hospital for 11 days and at his release he held his wife tight during the interview

courtesy of mingpao.com

Know as the most blessed TVB Best Actor, Bobby Auyeung Chun Wa changed his outlook on life after almost dying of an illness, learned to balance his life, and no longer paid attention to the gossip of being ridiculed as a "kept man". He was very certain that the greatest achievement in his life was marrying a good wife, because she became the driving force that encouraged him to move forward. Already in his 60s, Auyeung Chun Wa has recently decided to break out of his comfort zone, expand his territory to diversify his acting career and seek new breakthroughs. H e revealed that he will enter the film industry again, without the burden of being a TVB Best Actor. He was willing to play second- and third-line roles. He also praised 59-year-old Bowie Lam Bo Yi for his Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actor nomination with IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (BAK YUT JI HA), a model of a successful transition, the experience of whom he also used as a reference.

The 64-year-old Auyeung Chun Wa has already entered the film industry in the 1990s. He once starred in FATAL ENCOUNTER (DUET MING JIP JOOK). Unfortunately, the word of mouth and box office were not as good as expected. After 30 years, he signed a contract with Emperor Entertainment to return to the film industry. He denied that after many years at TVB, his roles have reached their limits and there was no room for him to perform; so he left his comfort zone and ventured outside. However, he admitted that most of the roles he performed at TVB were of the same type. In the past 10 years, people have repeatedly suggested that he tried to play a villain, "It's not that I don't have the confidence to, but no one dares to take the first step. Every producer is on the payroll, so they have no reason to take the risk and ask me to play the villain. If the audience would be disappointed in the first few episodes, which would affect the ratings. Who would be responsible for the subsequent ratings?"

Auyeung Chun Wa said with a smile that "it's hard to be a good guy". Usually nothing happens in good guy roles. As long as the plot changes, there are many possibilities for villains. He hoped to try different roles in the future. He was used to being the lead actor in TVB, so he did not insist on being the leading actor as soon as he started filming. "Definitely not, I treat myself as a newbie, a veteran newcomer; If I would take responsibility as soon as I come out, instead it would increase my pressure. If I would fail, I wouldn't have a next time. Step by step, I would play some second-tier roles with potential. People think I’m qualified, so I would take my time."

Would it not be boring for a top TV star to play a second- and third-tier role in a movie? Auyeung Chun Wa said, "In terms of movies, the second and third tiers are different from the second and third tiers of TV series. There are many outstanding gold medal actors in the second and third tiers of movies, including Hung Siu Hung, Liu Kai Chi, etc. The roles they play are very outstanding."

Reaching age 60 before trying his luck again in film, Auyeung Chun Wa did not feel it was too late. He thought that now was the right time. When he was previously making dramas for TVB, if he took up movies at the same time he might not be able to make it in either direction. He admitted that 59-year-old Bowie Lam Bo Yi's Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actor nomination with his IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (BAK YUT JI HA) role of a nursing home director gave him a shot of confidence. "Bo Yi left TVB earlier than me. Of course, his development is faster than mine. If I don't try now, what am I waiting for? Of course I hope to perform as well as Bo Yi. Am I working toward an award? Let it take its course."

Started from the TVB artist training class in 1982, Auyeung Chun Wa has been in the industry for 42 years, during which he left TVB for 10 months. In 1986, he starred in THE TURBULENT DECADE with Eddie Kwan Lai Kit and Eddie Cheung Siu Fai, but later returned to play minor roles. In 1993, THE FILE OF JUSTICE 2 had good ratings. When he renewed his contract with the company, he offered to switch to a contract that ensured his role as the lead but did not ask for a raise. However, the company did not continue the negotiation so he could only become an automatic free agent. "In just 10 months of working outside, people kept asking me to make dramas and movies. The money I earned was equivalent to at least 7 years of salary at TVB. At that time, my monthly salary at TVB was HK$ 10,000. I returned home because I was nostalgic. If I didn't go back, THE FILE OF JUSTICE series couldn't be made; just as it cannot be made without (Michael) Tao Tai Yu." Auyeung Chun Wa denied that he returned to TVB to concentrate on making dramas because of the unsatisfactory performance of FATAL ENCOUNTER (DUET MING JIP JOOK). He said that filming at that time he was testing the water, in addition Ng Toi Yung (Hugo Goh) was the director so he took it. It was an experience.

Auyeung Chung Wa revealed that after finishing THE FILE OF JUSTICE series, he made ARMED REACTION and ran into his former co-star "Sister Bo" Fung So Bo in the dressing room. He complained a little to Sister Bo, "It's so rough, I am so tired, I really want to sleep." Sister Bo's reminder woke him right away. "Silly boy, don't say that. What do you want from working so many years? To be where you are today. Tough it out." After that, day after night, night after day he worked, without any sleep or rest. No matter how hard it was, he no longer dared to complain at all. Besides, he really loved acting.

Auyeung Chun Wa starred in THE FILE OF JUSTICE, FORENSIC HEROES, TAMING OF THE PRINCESS, A RECIPE FOR THE HEART, WITNESS TO A PROSECUTION, MY AGES APART, HOUSE OF SPIRITS and others, all of which are classics. However he did not think that he has reached a peak. He joked that the peak will be when the series is popular and earns him a lot of money later. "The peak is just a passer-by, nothing substantial. The peak doesn't necessarily have to win awards. I do my best, I neither disrespect myself nor others then I am fine. (Is one TVB Best Actor award too few?) It depends on fate. (You don't insist on awards?) If you have it, it is an encouragement, if you don't then you know what you have done. Others have really worked very hard, I am very lazy. I don't memorize the script, just natural talent and a matter of perseverance. When compared with (Wayne) Lai Yiu Cheung, he is truly worthy of being crowned the three-time TVB Best Actor. When he finishes work, he goes home and reads the script. When I finish work, I go out with a few close friends to have fun."

Auyeung Chun Wa said that of course he has encountered bottlenecks in his acting career, and the biggest bottleneck was "being mediocre". He has made several TV series and people recognized him on the street, but he still has to "count changes" for his ride. He has little fame and no fortune, self-esteem would act up; which turns into self-pity. Self-pity turns into arrogance. "All the ups and downs, I didn't know what to do. How long can I endure? I'm very grateful to THE FILE OF JUSTICE for allowing me to focus and lay a solid foundation."

Among his many works, none truly pleased Au Yeung Chun Wa. He said that if he got to play every show over again, he would perform even better and richer than before; because as people mature, they also see things differently. When it came to having a clear conscience, focused and rarely sneaking away for fun at night, DICEY BUSINESS was the one. "Before I was working on a series, I would finish work at 11 o'clock at night but I still would go out to relax and go home to rest at two o'clock in the morning. At that time, I was young and very energetic. Without losing all the energy, how can I go home and sleep? Yet after becoming full out of power I got home but didn't have enough to recharge."

Auyeung Chun Wa praised DICEY BUSINESS for both its great script and co-stars. "In this triangle of myself, Benz Hung (Hui Siu Hung) and Sam Gor (Michael Miu Kiu Wai) no one is indispensable. In addition Suen Huen (Jessica Hester Hsuan) is the actress who trusts me the most out of so many I have worked with. She is willing to do whatever I say. During the filming of A RECIPE FOR THE HEART, there was a scene in which Suen Huen made me laugh. I asked her, 'Can I spit the water in my mouth on your face?' It was purely for the camera effect, not to mess with her. Suen Huen agreed right away. Then I asked again, 'Can Tang Yat Kwan do it with me?' She did not mind either. It happened again in DICEY BUSINESS, Benz Hung and I both spat her together, and she agreed. At the time Sam Gor was also present and couldn't stop laughing. Suen Huen is very easy going, she gets her make up fixed then takes the mark for another shot."

When it comes to marriage, Au Yeung Chun Wa admitted that marrying Fu Kit Han, a wife who trusts and supports him so much, is the greatest achievement in his life. The two got married in 1996, and 28 years ago the marriage still remains fresh. He said that the way for a couple to get along was to only have each other in their eyes, without children they would not divide each other's care. It was much simpler to only be responsible for each other. He praised his wife for her high EQ. She never criticized him for anything he did wrong, nor would she question him, "I didn't expect her to be so amazing. I went drinking with a friend at night, she wouldn't nag. She said calmly, 'Don't drink so much. If you drink call for a car, don't drive, don't stay out so late.' Many years ago, my bad friend asked me to go out at 1 o'clock in the morning. I told her I would come home at 3 o'clock, but she gave me until 5 o'clock. In the end I still got home after sunrise."

Auyeung Chun Wa revealed that in all the years he and his wife have been married, they have never argued. His wife has never yelled at him, no even spoken loudly to him. Her temperament is better than himself, so he feels ashamed, "The biggest change my wife has made me is my diligence. She told me not to be lazy and to prove to everyone that I am not a "kept man" as the outside world calls me. I have been called that for 20 years, only in recent years have it stopped." He admitted that he did mind being accused of being a "kept man" at first. Many thought that after a few years of being a kept man he would retire, why would he keep doing it for so long? He said with a smile, "Who would like to be kept? People can say whatever they want. If you have money, they say you show off; if you don't have money, they call you poor. When I was young, I cared about what others said; but now at this age, I don't get to care that much." He said that his "good brother" Charmaine Sheh Sze Man (Ah Sheh) once cooked for him in a Mainland reality show and teased him as a "kept man". She asked jokingly, "Master, do you like hard food or soft food?" He replied, "Of course I like it soft, no one likes it hard." Ah Sheh laughed heartily, and this conversation became a hot search topic.

In 2013, Au Yeung Chun Wa was admitted to the intensive care unit for acute pneumonia and almost died. He admitted that his outlook on life has changed, "I couldn't even predict it in my dreams. I was caught off guard as food flowed back into my lungs. I was sent to the ICU while sleeping. It really could've been fatal, I'm glad it was caught early. The change is that I no longer work until I am dead and rotten, enough would be enough. I just need to eat, handle basic expenses, and some emergency money. So when I resumed work on dramas, I told the company that I wasn't tough anymore. I asked for 8 hours of rest everyday, but I found that 8 hours weren't enough. I actually slept for three or four hours with all the driving, bathing, and reading scripts. Finally I got 10 hours. The company was kind to me and agreed."

[2024.10.02] MAN LIM CHUNG REVEALS WONG KAR WAI LOVES TO BE IN DEEP THOUGHTS ON THE SET

Kristal Tin speaks with Man Lim Chung in the HONG KONG ORAL HISTORY

Man Lim Chung is fortunate enough to have worked with Wong Kar Wai on three occasions

The Kristal Tin Nui Nei produced and hosted new program "Hong Kong Oral History" is now airing on the online paid platform "Late Show". She invited Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Alfred Cheung Kin Ting, Eric Kot Man Fai, Man Lim Chung, and the famous comic book creator Ngau Lo to share their experiences from growing up, and together they searched for their past footprints in Hong Kong and witnessed the changes. The famous art director Man Lim Chung took Tin Yui Nei back to the props landmarks, and revealed that director Wong Kar Wai loved to be deep in thought on the set. He could not forget about completing the impossible task for Tsui Hark.

Film Award-winning art director Man Lim Chung was born and raised in Hong Kong. In Tin Yui Nei's program he revealed that before graduating from PolyU's design department in 1991, he went to the theater to watch Wong Kar Wai directed DAYS OF BEING WILD and was deeply impressed. He thought that the storytelling techniques and image treatments were very unconventional, and it is one of the most important films in the history of Hong Kong films. "After watching DAYS OF BEING WILD, I had a lot of questions and thinking space in my mind. In addition I admire directors such as Ann Hui On Wa and Yim Ho, which made me want to join the industry and develop."

After graduation Man Lim Chung was recommended to be the assistant of art direction masters Au Ting Ping and William Chang Suk Ping (Ah Suk). He also had the opportunity to work with Wong Kar Wai on FALLEN ANGELS (DOR LOK TIN SI), HAPPY TOGETHER (CHUN GUONG JA SIT) and IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (FA YEUNG NIN WA). He admitted that he had little interaction with director Wong Kar Wai. "I was Ah Suk's assistant at the time. Wong Kar Wai would only talked to Ah Suk, or ask people to do things through the assistant director or production assistant. He wouldn't converse with others, and would spend most of his time in deep thought. Even if many people call Wong Kar Wai and To Ho Fung (Christopher Doyle) and Cheung Suk Ping the iron triangle, they did not talk to each other on the set. At most he would just set up the camera with To Ho Fung. Their chemistry didn't need any communication."

When talking about working with Ah Suk, Man Lim Chung said that he benefited a lot and learned how to solve problems. "When we couldn't find what we need, we looked for alternatives. We couldn't say no. The Internet wasn't popular at that time, so we have to use our feet to walk all over Hong Kong and Kowloon to find props. The job at that time had too many things to deal with. I was so exhausted after finishing Ah Suk's order that I had no time to think about other things. Sometimes Ah Suk would take me out to look at clothes and look for clothes and fabrics. In addition to visiting famous stores, he would also go to Granville Road and trendy shopping malls in Tsim Sha Tsui to let us know what he wants."

The 56-year-old Man Lim Chung won the Best Costume Design at the 17th Asian Film Awards and the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards this year for the movie THE GOLDFINGER (GUM SAU JI). In 2020 he directed for the first time the documentary KEEP ROLLING (HO HO PAT DIN YING) and won the Hong Kong Film Directors Guild's New Director Award. He humbly admitted that he is not a talented person. He remembered that he was slow to respond when he first entered the industry and was often treated with a roll of eyes. He mainly relied on hard work to make up for his shortcomings.

Speaking of the Tsui Hark directed THE CHINESE FEAST (GUM YUK MOON TONG), he was given the opportunity to be promoted to an art director for the first time. His salary went from more than 10,000 to 40,000. Man Lim Chung was flattered and admitted that it was very hard to make the impossible possible, "For the cooking competition scene, Tsui Hark wanted to make onions and beef fly around as if they were in a martial arts fight. There were no special effect in those days, so I thought of tying fishing wire to the spatula. As long as the spatula was turned with one hand, the onions and beef with fishing wire through them would take flight. Of course, you have to coordinate the shoot with speed so the result would be convincing."

Looking back on his 30 years in the film industry, Man Lim Chung said that he has collaborated with famous directors Wong Kar Wai, Tsui Hark, Sylvia Chang, Ann Hui On Wa, Felix Chong Man Keung, Alan Mak Siu Fai and Edmond Pang Ho Cheung, absorbed different ways of doing things from each of them and helped him build his own career. When asked when will he start directing again? He said, "I am currently directing a documentary about artists. I have no plans for commercial or art films yet. Instead, I hope to use my experience to work with new directors and experience a new stage."

[2024.10.02] LOLETTA LEE SHATTERS HER GODDESS IMAGE TO PLAY A FAT HOUSEWIFE

Loletta Lee and Gladys Li had some reflections on their family because of the filming of ONCE IN A BLUE MOON
courtesy of singtao.com

The warm family film ONCE IN A BLUE MOON (MONG YUET) will be officially released on 19th of this month. Playing mother and daughter in the film, Loletta Lee Lai Chun and Gladys Li Ching Kwan would not only spend the holiday with their families during the Mid-Autumn Festival, but also be busy with the film promotion as they called all their families and friends to see the movie; which was also one of the best programs of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. In reality Lee Lai Chun also has a daughter who is similar in age to Li Ching Kwan. She admitted that she did not deliberately play old to match the role. Even the director told her, "Just use your usual communication method with your daughter and you are fine."

The movie ONCE IN A BLUE MOON was shot during the epidemic in 2022 and encountered some difficulties before the filming started. Lee Lai Chun said that when director Andy Lo (Law Yiu Fai) invited her to perform, she told the director "I got a lot fatter" because she did not go to exercise due to the epidemic. The director actually asked Lee Lai Chun not to lose weight, performing as she was would be enough; but about two weeks before the shoot began, Lee Lai Chun slipped and sprained her leg in the bathroom at home. The director then said that he could shoot less scenes of her walking and focus on shooting her standing or sitting. Lee Lai Chun laughed, "When the director thinks it's OK, I'm OK. Although I was working in pain and had to keep taking medicine, the shoot was successfully completed in the end!"

In the film, Lee Lai Chun and Li Ching Kwan played mother and daughter. In reality, Lee Lai Chun also has a daughter who is about the same age as Li Ching Kwan. Lee Lai Chun said she has played the role of a mother in the past, but for the first time she has such a big daughter, she felt very different during the performance. "Yet I also have such a big daughter in real life, because I married early at age 30. Back then I stipulated myself to be married at 30 years old, which was an ancient idea. I felt that 30 years old was a stage for a woman." Thus Lee Lai Chun said that she has projected her daughter on Li Ching Kwan for the performance. "Because since the director said, 'You don't play old, or play a mother, you are normally a mother, use your usual way of talking to your daughter and you are fine', I got it but I questioned how the director eavesdropped on me talking to my daughter? Haha!" Lee Lai Chun this time put some white dye in her hair to add to her sense of old age, no special makeup, only foundation and no concealer for the Mommy role that was so busy with making a living that she did not have time to dress up.

Li Ching Kwan said that she treated herself like Lee Lai Chun's daughter to play the role. They did not cultivate feelings beforehand, but got along as soon as they took their marks. "Actually I am crazy happy, with a superstar like Sister Chun as my Mommy, It is my honor. In terms of age Sister Chun is so young she is not like my Mommy, but with the costume she looks a little like her. However I didn't think about it; because I knew she was going to be my mother, I didn't question it." After every scene, everyone would chat. Lee Lai Chun often shared how she and her daughter got along. She felt that her mother and daughter relationship was very good. Although she did not know Lee Lai Chun, but hearing her experience with her daughter she treated me just like her own daughter. As it happened, Lee Lai Chun injured her leg at the time. She and her on screen brother Peter Chan Charm Man were very nervous about Lee Lai Chun. Sister Chun said, "The entire team was staring at me, constantly asking me to sit down wherever I was; but the feeling was quite warm!" Just like that they gradually had chemistry like a family.

Li Ching Kwan admitted that playing the role of a daughter was not difficult, but playing the role of growing up in a single-parent family was a bit difficult. "With the roles I played before I can use a lot of experiences to make myself invested, but this time playing a single-parent family I can never understand. Because I grew up in a happy family, so initially I did not understand how much impact a father who had been away from the family for many years would have on me. Fortunately the script helped me a lot. When shooting a reunion scene with my father, after rehearsals I changed from lacking confidence to having the confidence to interpret the role." In the film Lee Lai Chun had an argument scene with her daughter, Lee Lai Chun said, "We didn't cultivate our emotions for the shoot. In addition I don't have enough air, so the yelling starts around one and ends with two sentences." In reality, she has never quarreled with her daughter. "Although she too grew up in a single-parent family, she has been very obedient since she was a child. Now that she is older, she will ask me for my opinion before doing anything." Li Ching Kwan said, "Having known Sister Chun for a while, I noticed that her relationship with her daughter is like a friend. She is a very open mommy." Would Lee Lai Chun be very open to letting her daughter go and be independent? Lee Lai Chun said, "Because my daughter was very obedient in kindergarten and primary school, she would ask me about everything until she was 14 or 15 years old. This period is the easiest to turn bad but also want to learn, so I let her going to a boarding school. By the time she graduated at 21, she no longer was rebellious and would care about her family instead."

In the movie, Li Ching Kwan lost her virginity because she was fooled on dating apps. She admitted that she was curious about dating apps but never tried them. "I got into the business too early, so I haven't used it. Because this business gives me a burden, I don't know how others would see me or I have to watch what I said. In addition I don't need to. I have a boyfriend of 6 years, and the relationship is very stable." Li Ching Kwan has been fooled by her ex before. She admitted that she definitely had her share of romantic wounds. "I can't say that I'm not wrong just because I'm hurt. Dating is about two people getting along. There are always some problems in getting along that we don't handle well. I think this is an inevitable journey, maybe you have hurt people, and people have hurt you; then you will become more mature, clearer about what you want in love." Aside from sharing her film production experience, has Lee Lai Chun shared her romantic experience with her "daughter"? Lee Lai Chun laughed and said, "Wow, I don't need to share this. She is such a big girl, the most important thing is our sincerity, we have to learn to cherish it!" How is Lee Lai Chun's current relationship life is? She said bluntly, "No! Now I want to focus on making a movie that will make everyone happy." Lee Lai Chun said she wanted to make a movie where she could dress beautifully to fight, or where she and her classmates fight after growing up, but for the court struggled costume drama she was afraid that it would be too hard. She revealed that she wants to make comedy the most, "Because in recent years I haven't had the chance to make Lunar New Year films, in the 80s and 90s I constantly made Lunar New Year films and was very happy. People are looking to go out during the New Year. Would they stay home and fry cakes instead? Going out and watching movies are good activities, but I think movie tickets are too expensive now. There should be discounts during the holidays."

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON made family its subject. Lee Lai Chun said that she has a great relationship with her family. "When my parents were still alive, the family often had meals together; but now they are gone. My younger brother immigrated and my younger sister got married. There are only two of us, my daughter and I. Personally, I often feel that it is a very happy thing for a family to have meals together. We should cherish the love of our parents. Mom and Dad will leave before us. We must cherish them. My daughter and I rarely argue, she was better behaved than I was when I was younger. I would steal fifty cents from my mother to buy ice cream, and I would have fights with the family; but as soon as my father came out to take charage of the situation, I would listen to him." Li Ching Kwan pointed out that during the rebellious period nothing seemed right to her. After she moved out she realized that many of the things she did not like were not big things. She let go of her stubbornness. "This is the first time for everyone to be a parent or a child. You will make mistakes, don't be too stubborn; the older I get, the more open I am."

Philip Ng Won Lung, Max Cheung Tat Lun, directors Albert Leung Koon Hiu and Herbert Leung Koon Shun attended an audience appreciation event for STUNTMAN (MO TAI DOH) the night before. Before entering the venue, Ng Won Lung and several action actors who played "Wai Stuntman Association" in the film performed Kung Fu on the spot to create momentum and attracted many spectators. Breaking a board with a flying kick, Ng Won Lung pretended to be injured and hobbled after the performance, which was very funny.

STUNTMAN was released in Hong Kong last Thursday, and as of the day before yesterday (29th), its box office approached HK$ 3 million. Just returning from work in Europe, Ng Won Lung rushed to the audience appreciation event with Cheung Tat Lun as soon as he got off the plane the night before. They expressed their gratitude to the audience for their support of Hong Kong films. He was full of confidence in the film and said, "The budget of STUNTMAN isn't high and the shoot schedule is tight, but with many things I don't care about how long it takes, but the team spirit of cooperation is more important. This time, I am most grateful to have director (Benz) Kong Tao Hoi who is familiar with action movies and two directors Leung at the helm, so the action performance isn't considered difficult. In addition both the drama and the action scenes are attractive to the audience. There are not too many location changes either so the shoot felt easy."

Cheung Tat Lun said that he brought his 7-year-old son to watch the movie before. After watching this movie, he actually fell in love with action movies and was punching and kicking at home. He asked Ng Won Lung on the spot if he could recommend a kung fu teacher? Ng Won Lung suggested that Cheung Tat Lun's child should learn judo first, learn the basic skills, and learn how to fall to the ground safely without getting hurt. If Cheung Tat Lun does not mind, he can teach him. Upon hearing this, Cheung Tat Lun said that even he himself was interested in learning Kung Fu because it would be useful in future filming. H e said with a smile, "I get beaten a lot when I'm filming, and I'm really afraid when I hit people during the shoot."

Ng Won Lung also said that he does not have a martial arts school in Hong Kong, but he has been a stuntman for many years and already has a group of students. One of his students has already served as a stand-in for a lead in Hollywood, which made him happy because Kung Fu was able to flourish outside of Hong Kong. Has anyone heard about him and come here to become a disciple? He said, "Many friends in the industry have asked me to teach them kung fu, and the most well-known ones are (Nicholas) Tse Ting Fung, the girl group 2R, and artists under the same management company."

Busy with audience appreciation for the past few days, Cheung Tat Lun played the brother of Terrance Lau Chun Him in the film. The bromance between the two even made the male audience cry, which he said made him happy.
