The Dayo Wong Tze Wah and Michael Hui Koon Man starred THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) has been released for more than a month. Its box office trend has continued to be strong, with a cumulative box office of more than HK$ 148 million in Hong Kong and Macau. Ranking second at the Christmas box office, it held the Disney animation THE LION KING: MUFASA with THE PROSECUTOR (NG POON) at the top. THE LAST DANCE's director Anselm Chan Mou Yin is preparing for an extended version, hoping that it would make the Lunar New Year release in time. The content of the extended version has attracted much attention, and the host of the online channel Chak Ho Yin has seen the full version before the release, revealing that there are three major deleted scenes that have a chance to reappear.

Regarding the content of the extended version of THE LAST DANCE, a former marketing personnel of Emperor Motion Pictures Chak Ho Yin recently said on his online channel that he has watched the full version before the release due to work, and revealed that three of the deleted plots that would likely appear in the extended version. One of them is the graveyard scene with Kaki Sham, who plays Wong Tze Wah's half brother. In it they went to visit their father's grave together. The current release does not explain the background of the Wong Tze Wah played Tao Sun. It turns out that he hates his father, who abandoned his wife and children to marry a new love; when his father passed away, he did not go to pay his respect. When he became a ceremonial master, and was relieved of the past, this scene of visiting his father's grave with Kaki Sham appeared.

Another deleted scene is related to the Michael Hui Koon Man played Brother Man. Brother Man once joked that he was feeling "randy in his old age" and thought about wearing a three piece suit. Tao Sun fulfilled his last wish after his death and put him in a three piece suit. Some questioned why Brother Man, who has always had a strong traditional value, loved to wear Chinese suits, eat walnut cookies, and drink Da Hong Pao tea, say this dialogue after a stroke? When Tao Sun bid Brother Man farewell on his final journey, why did he drink whiskey with him instead of Da Hong Pao? It turned out to be related to the graveyard scene that was cut out. When Tao Sun visited his father's grave, the camera took a photo of the deceased on the niche, and the man in the photo wore a three-piece suit, and the offering included whiskey; which echoed Tao Sun's farewell to Brother Man. He has already treated Brother Man like his father, making up for the regret of not saying goodbye to his father that day.

The third deleted scene is about the Catherine Chau Ka Yee played Tao Sun's girlfriend Mei Yuk, who had a dispute with Tao Sun because she was pregnant. The scene that was deleted had Mei Yuk alone at home. Tao Sun returned home and found that the whole house was dark. Mei Yuk sat silently in a corner, telling Tao Sun about her unfortunate miscarriage. The two hugged each other and cried, and then went to the scene of the ritual for the baby. Some people pointed out that this scene was deleted because Wong Tze Wah and Hui Koon Man did not want the tone of the movie to be too dark and wanted to be a little brighter. Since director Chan Mou Yin has said that even with the extended version release, the original ending of the story would not be changed; so this scene probably would not be added to the extended version.
