[2025.02.11] THE LAST DANCE HAS THREE OUT OF FIVE HONG KONG SCREENWRITERS' GUILD AWARD NOMINEES

Dayo Wong, Aaron Kwok, Michelle Wai, Sean Lau and Michael Hui are nominated for the Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild "Best Film Character Award"

The Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild announced yesterday (10th) the five nominees for the 2024 "Best Film Character Award", including PAPA's Sean Lau Ching Wan (as Yuen Wing Nin) and ROB N ROLL (LUM SI GIP ONG)'s Aaron Kwok Fu Sing (as Mui Lam Tin), and the Anselm Chan Mou Yin and Cheng Wai Kei written Emperor Motion Picture THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK)'s three leads Michael Hui Koon Man, Dayo Wong Tze Wah and Michelle Wai Sze Nga were all nominated to become the big winners.

After receiving the news, Wong Tze Wah who played Ngai Tao Sun said, "Thank you to the Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild!" Hui Koon Man said that he was able to play the role of Brother Man, all thanks to the joint efforts of the director, screenwriter, and everyone in front of and behind the scenes of THE LAST DANCE. "It is a special honor to be recognized by the Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the film industry colleagues and the audience for their recognition. I hope that THE LAST DANCE will achieve more great results in the future!"

Playing Kwok Man Yuet, Wai Sze Nga became the only actress nominated and was very happy to receive the good news. Nominated last year with READY O/R ROT (BUT YUT SING FUN 2)'s Tsang Ho Yee, she felt how lucky she was. "I am so grateful to have played two good roles for two years in a row and received everyone's love. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our THE LAST DANCE writer and director Chan Mou Yin and another screenwriter Cheng Wai Kei. The role of Kwok Man Yuet has brought me many unexpected gains, and I am so grateful to everyone in the industry and the audience who loves this movie and this role!"

ROB N ROLL's screenwriters Chan Wai Bun, Albert Mak Kai Kwong and Man Yuen Ching. Also the director, Mak Kai Kwong retransmitted the news of the nomination and responded by quoting Mui Lam Tin, "Say thank you!"
