top ten.
The top ten beauties appeared in swimsuits for a Question and
Answer session, among which candidate 7 Angela Stanton (Sze Yu Kei) was
asked about the current affairs of the recent HK$ 80,000 dinner at
Central. The emcee asked her, "If you invite a man to dinner and he
disappears midway, you have to find 80,000 for the meal, what would you
do?" Sze Yu Kei said that she would ask her old boss to help find the
bill, because she believed that the other party would have 80,000 for
the bill. She could also ask the other party how to earn back 80,000.
In the end, candidates 1 Victoria Lee, 3 Emily Tsoi, 7 Sze Yu Kei, 9
Stacey Chan Wing Sze and 13 Jane Yuan Wenjing competed for the top three
positions. The favorite, 4 Molly Mo Fan, ended her run at top five;
instead 13 Jane Yuan made a surprise entry.
In addition to Cheung King Hin, Janice Vidal (Wai Lan) and Aarif
Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) performed. Miss Hong Kong alumnus Cally Kwong Mei
Wan made a gorgeous appearance to sing OUR HOME and performed on the
same stage with the beauty. Cheung King Hin said in an interview
backstage that it was not the first time he has been a guest performer
for the Miss Hong Kong finals. He said with a smile that although he
has been rarely seen on TVB, after all he worked at TVB for 3 years when
he first entered the industry. Thus returning to TVB City felt like
remembering his youth. He joked that he would relive this scene after
returning home, praising the beauties for their outstanding appearance
and education. However he believed that appearance was important, but
wisdom was more important. He observed that the beauties were still
very nervous during the rehearsal the day before, but they seemed
relaxed and confident that night. He also respected those beauties who
were not good at Cantonese but were willing to put in a lot of effort to
pursue their dreams. Wai Lan said that she was very happy to be invited
to be a guest performer of Miss Hong Kong for the first time. She said
that she had never thought of participating in a beauty pageant, but she
was interested in participating in bodybuilding competitions. In few
years she has begun fitness training and the coach encouraged her to
try. She joked that she would achieve the muscular results next year.

Her father Lai Man Wai was known as the "Father of Hong Kong Cinema",

In the scene in which she denounced Adam Cheng Siu Chau and her
grandchildren, she vividly interpreted the character's anger and
helplessness and made it a classic scene in the film. Lai Suen has also
participated in dramas such as PERISH IN THE NAME OF LOVE (DAI NUI FA),
GOLDEN FAITH (LAU GUM SHUI YUET), FORENSIC HEROES (FAT JING SIN FUNG),
THE GEM OF LIFE (JU GUONG BO HEI), etc., mostly appearing as a kind

after completing ONLY YOU (JI YAU NEI).
In 2023, the Hong Kong Performing Artists Guild presented Lai
Suen with the "Outstanding Performing Artist Award" in recognition of
her silent efforts and contributions in the entertainment industry over
the years. Although Lai Suen did not attend the award in person, Candy

time Lai Suen was in a wheelchair and was in good spirits.
Lai Suen's husband Gao Hong was her first boyfriend. They got
married in 1951 and had been together for more than 70 years, had three
daughters and a happy family life. Earlier Lai Suen was caught holding
hands with her husband and a cane as they went for dessert. He was also
seen accompany her to the medical clinic for a follow up visit. Lai

Charmaine Sheh has nothing but praise for Venus Wong's performance courtesy of on.cc
The Venus Wong Man Yik starred film RE BORN (HUNG SUM YUN) is
in release and received a lot of support from many in the industry.
Recently, Charmaine Sheh Sze Man (Ah Sheh) and Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin
went to the theater separately to enjoy the film. Both of them could
not stop praising Wong Man Yik's performance.
Ah Sheh even specifically transformed into a film critic and
posted her comments on social network after the screening. In addition
to telling everyone to cherish the people around them, she also said
that she was very envious of Wong Man Yik's opportunity to star in a
small budget movie that could satisfy her acting bug. She also praised
her performance, "You didn't waste a single drop of tear, as a good
mother who seeks spiritual salvation you really performed very well. I
wish for you a nomination for Best Actress!" After receiving the super
high evaluation from television Best Actress Ah Sheh, Wong Man Yik was
of course very excited and immediately forwarded the post and declared
her happiness!
Philip Keung, child actor So Tin Lok and director Kwan Man Hin promote their new film THE REMNANTS courtesy of mingpao.com
Philip Keung Ho Man (Brother Hak), director Mandrew /Kwan Man Hin and
young actor Tin Lok went to a laundromat in Ho Man Tin yesterday to work
as a half-day store manager to promote the movie THE REMNANT (NGOK YUN
DONG DOH). Many neighbors saw Keung Ho Man and asked him for photos
together.
In the film Brother Hak played a mob boss who after his prison
release opened a laundromat in an old district in order to cleanse
himself and retire. Many scenes in the film was in the laundromat.
Speaking of being a half-day store manager, Brother Hak said that he
often patronized laundromats when he was a child and when he lived
alone. He said that only a few old style laundromats remained. Many
stories in THE REMNANT took place in the laundromat, so he had quite a
connection with it and thought that this civilian culture had to be
preserved. Tin Lok said that this was the second time he has come into
contact with a laundromat, but most of the laundromats he has seen now
were self-service.
Kwan Man Hin praised Brother Hak's role as a retired mob boss,
saying that the audience would expect it and it was a challenge. He
said, "Brother Hak has a strong affinity, and he would say Hi to
everyone when he comes on to the set! Later I didn't want him to say
Hi that often, because he had to match the role." He said that they
clicked right away when they worked together, as destiny brought them
together to work on this film. Kwan Man Hin said that he used the
laundromat as the backdrop because he wanted to express a former mob
boss who wanted to start his life anew. The laundromat brought out the
feeling of "cleansing".
Hak Gor said with a smile that this was the reason why he liked
to work with the new director, because he would discover his new
interpretions. This time he has become a little more tender in his
interpretation, because he rarely smiled in the play. Later he did all
thanks to Fish Liew Chi Yu and Tin Lok.
Tin Lok praised Brother Hei for being a very good person both
inside and outside the film, sometimes chatting and playing with him.
Did Brother Hei's appearance scare him? Tin Lok smiled and said that
he was not afraid of him, instead he was very happy after finding out
that he would be able to work with him. He even praised Brother Hak
for being more handsome in person than on camera. They would work
together again, he would like them to play father and son.
Brother Hak said, "I really like to play with children. I
am spoiling my nephew's child, and I am not afraid of working with
children or pets. Yet when working with pets, I often have to abuse
them and I don't want to."
Ken Low (right) claims that he will help with Duen Wai Lun (left)'s funeral arrangements
Duen Wai Lun was Jackie Chan's assistant for 15 years courtesy of mingpao.com
Senior artist Duen Wai Lun passed away a few days ago at the age
of 67. Reportedly he suffered from kidney failure and had been ill for
several years. K en Low Wai Kwong confirmed the news of Duen Wai Lun's
death. Saddened by the death of his friend, he would assist in handling
the funeral arrangements and revealed that Duen Wai Lun had suffered a
stroke and was in poor health in recent years.
Duen Wai Lun once participated in ATV and TVB dramas, but he
was best known for being Jackie Chan's former assistant. He and Low
Wai Kwong were once celebrities around Jackie Chan, and they were named
left and right guards, as well as members of the JC Stunt Team as they
participated in many Jackie Chan movies like POLICE STORY 3 SUPER COP,
POLICE STORY 4 FIRST STRIKE, RUSH HOUR 2 as well as BIG BULLET (CHUNG
FUNG DUI: NO FOR GAI TAU) and INFERNAL AFFAIRS II (MO GAN DOH II).
Duen Wai Lun once saved Jackie Chan's life in an explosion
accident when he was drunk, and was entrusted to follow Jackie Chan for
15 years. Later the two broke up over some unhappiness. According to
the information, Duen Wai Lun did not work for Jackie Chan in 2003. His
salary was only HK$ 10,000 per month, and his severance pay was 14,000.
His friends who felt bad for him exposed that to the media.
Low Wai Kwong once condemned Jackie Chan as an "employer
without any conscience". When Duen Wai Lun attended a public event,
the media asked him whether Jackie Chan treated his brothers poorly.
He said, "Opinions are a matter of opinion, ten fingers have
different lengths, naturally some are good, some are moderate." Was
Jackie Chan a "mean boss"? Duen Wai Lun said, "He is not mean.
There is no definition for that, it depends on how you look at it."
He said that there is no party that would not end in the world, and
the incident did not affect his relationship with Jackie Chan.
Jackie Chan has not been active on social platforms, but he
mostly mourned and shared his feelings online for the death of people in
the circle he once worked with. Earlier when Chua Lan passed away,
Jackie Chan also remembered his past with him. Last night Jackie Chan's
Weibo and Instagram have not been updated.

Soi Cheang reveals that he will first make THE FINAL CHAPTER then the prequel DRAGON THRONE
Raymond Lam has already begun training for THE FINAL CHAPTER in January this year courtesy of mingpao.com
With the popularity of the movie TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIOR: WALLED
IN (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI WAI SING), the prequel DRAGON THRONE (LUNG
TAU) and the sequel THE FINAL CHAPTER (JUNG JEUNG) have been prepared
for filming one after another. Director Soi Cheang Pou Soi recently
appeared on the online channel, revealing that lead actor Raymond Lam
Fung has begun to undergo training in January this year. With market
considerations, THE FINAL CHAPTER will be shot first because the role of
Lam Fung has not yet been born in DRAGON THRONE. Speaking of the
appearance of Chan Ho Nam from the YOUNG AND DANGEROUS series in the
original comics, will Ekin Cheng be invited to make a cameo appearance?
Cheang Pou Soi said that the chance would be slim, because Chan Ho Nam
in the story would be a younger version. "It's impossible to ask him to
play the role again. He might be unwilling anyway. Who can replace
Ekin Cheng? You can't do it."

Chrissie Chau says that making ATONEMENT is very relaxing, because she can be without make up
Chrissie Chau and Ronald Cheng play a couple in ATONEMENT
Ronald Cheng has many scenes with "daughter" Fu Shu Ying courtesy of mingpao.com
After the "manager turmoil" occurred last year, Ronald Cheng
Chung Kei revealed that he suffered from depression and alcoholism,
suspended his acting work, and returned to Hong Kong after receiving
alcoholism treatment in the United States. During the period his
marriage with his wife Sammie Yu Sze Man reportedly changed. As they
appeared at family court, their divorce was uncovered. ATONEMENT (AH
LUNG), the movie he wrote, directed and starred in 7 years ago, was
affected and postponed its released. It has been now scheduled for
release on September 4th. Even though Cheng Chung Kei's divorce case
has not ended, he still worked hard to promote the new film. Earlier
he and Chrissie Chau Sau Na were interviewed together. He refused to
answer about his divorce mood, and revealed that the most memorable
from the filming period was when his pants were bloodied due to
hemorrhoid. It was beyond embarrassing. Regarding the twists and turns
of the release of ATONEMENT and running into the film industry winter,
he believed that he did not get to worry. He could only to do his best,
and he felt that the most important thing was to have new subjects that
resonated with the audience.
Cheng Chung Kei and Yu Sze Man have been married for 14 years
and had a pair of children. In August last year, Cheng Chung Kei
had "manager trouble" as Ho Hing Seung after years of working together
was accused of professional and moral conduct issues and left the post.
He then issued a statement that he suffered from depression and
alcoholism, suspended his acting work, and was accompanied by his wife
Yu Sze Man to the United States for alcoholism treatment. After
returning to Hong Kong, the marriage of the two reportedly changed in
February this year. Cheng Chung Kei and Yu Sze Man appeared at the
Wan Chai Family Court in April to attend a closed-door hearing and
later confirmed their divorce.
The Cheng Chung Kei written, directed and starred movie
ATONEMENT would be released on the 4th of next month. He actively
participated in the promotion and attended the preview screening
audience appreciation events. Since the "manager turmoil" and admitting
to divorce, he was interviewed for the first time. Obviously thinner,
he explained that it was due to running. He did not answer whether the
divorce proceedings affected the publicity mood. Wearing many hats,
Cheng Chung Kei revealed that when preparing for the filming of
ATONEMENT he understood that the difficulty of striking a balance
between subjectivity and objectivity. Thus he asked Mark Wu Yiu Fai
to co-direct, "It's hard to advise myself during the performance, I must
feel that there is no problem with the performance. Mark is mainly
responsible for watching me perform, and we are responsible for the rest
together."
Cheng Chung Kei said that due to the preparation work in the
early stage and the storyboard was drawn, everyone knew the character
characteristics of each scene and each actor. The filming went very
smoothly with few changes. "I didn't have any difference of opinion or
argument with Mark. The boss couldn't believe how efficient our
Thailand location shoot was, whether the production period or the
production cost we were under budget. Because the boss said that he
wanted to come for the production wrap, that action scene had to
extend its production. Everyday we only made one shot, and I played
video games with the staff to pass the time."
ATONEMENT told the story of the Chung Chung Kei played "Ah Lung"
and his 8-year-old daughter "Yingying" (Fu Shun Ying). They depended on
each other, and after paying off gambling debts for his ex-wife, he
traveled to Thailand with their daughter, and Yingying was kidnapped by
a kidnapper group on the way. He stayed in Thailand to find his beloved
daughter and remarried the overseas Chinese Thai "Ah Lan" (Chau Sau Na).
Why did he make the abduction subject? Cheng Chung Kei said that he saw
in the newspapers that many parents have caused various tragedies due to
negligence in taking care of their children, and he wanted to make a
film to remind parents to be vigilant, and familiar places are also
dangerous. Did he feel deeper after being a father? He admitted, "When
I go out with my children, I have to keep them within my line of sight
and not too close to the road."
Cheng Chung Kei gained 30 pounds for the performance, explaining
that because in the plot he worked as a laborer at the dock for a
living, he had to be big to be convincing. He revealed that the weight
gaining period had some obstacles. I spent 8 months on training, which
went all up in smoke due to a hemorrhoid operation. "Shortly after the
start of work, I already had a hemorrhoid problem. After filming the
kidnapper of his daughter pushing him to the ground, the costume
director pointed at me and said that my pants were covered in blood. It
was embarrassing. I thought that it would be fine after that. When I
was training to build muscles and drinking protein milk powder, I might
have been too impatient, and it exploded again. I had to be admitted to
the hospital for surgery. During the weight gain I ran into a
bottleneck spot, and there was no progress despite all the exercises and
eating, which was so frustrating!" Chau Sau Na revealed that Cheng
Chung Kei had no good food to eat due to his training, Cheng Chung Kei
said, "There is a chef on the set who was responsible for cooking, at
every meal, I would go to the side and enjoy my boiled eggs and chicken
breasts alone. It was so lonely, because I was afraid of seeing them
enjoy the food so much, I couldn't help but break my diet."
The release date of ATONEMENT has been delayed again and again.
Now it would finally be released, but it ran to the film industry
winter. Was he worried about box office results? Cheng Chung Kei
believed that he would not get to worry. "After the filming was
completed 7 years ago, the screening was arranged but encountered the
novel corona pandemic. After the pandemic passed, the permit had
expired, and had to be re-applied for approval and re-cut. The
original release was planned for the Golden Harvest cinema circuit but
it closed. Now it will be released on the Intercontinental cinema
circuit." Was he worried about the movie being stillborn? He said, "I
thought about when it would be released, but could do nothing about it.
I can't control it. What I can do was when the censors requested for
multiple versions, I cut them as soon as possible. However there was
a 6 minute straight take fight scene, which they said was too violent
and wanted me to cut it. I thought it would lose coherence. We were
in discussion for a very long time, in the end they accepted me
cutting a little near the end."
Has his confidence to be a director again been impacted? Cheng
Chung Kei said no. "I didn't deliberately want to direct, I was
attracted by the story and hoped to shoot it myself. It's that simple."
He admitted that now was the worst time for the market since entering
the industry, and the only thing left to do is to work as much as he
could. The main thing was the subject matter. It could not be like the
way it was, when a subject was good then everyone flocked to make it.
It was necessary to shoot something that resonated with the audience in
order to help a little. Acting in many dramas in recent years, Cheng
Chung Kei admitted that he wanted to act in comedy again. "Actually, I
like acting in comedy so much, everyone can take it easy."
Would he attend audience appreciation activities to pump up the
box office? Cheng Chung Kei said, "We will all attend audience
appreciation events. (Will home life affect your mood at work?) I'm
sorry, I want to focus on the movie." Tin Kai Man said that he would
not make a full comeback until the lawsuit was over, Cheng Chung Kei did
not answer directly. He only said that he was writing songs, because he
promised to release a Mandarin record but he did not start writing. He
had 10 songs that have been re-recorded, but some new songs have not
been written. Playing Cheng Chung Kei's wife, Chau Sau Na did not have
any action scene but ended up with bruises and scars all over her arms.
She joked that she seemed to be have suffered abuse. She said, "In the
scene I was pressed on the table by a police officer and almost
violated. Perhaps I was too in character, I kept struggling. I didn't
notice any injury on the set. I only found out after waking up the next
day and I was surprised. Making ATONEMENT was so fun and relaxing
because Mark told me not to wear makeup, just put on a base makeup and
cover up dark circles."

Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting
down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister
Nezuko was turned into a demon.
While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with
fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his
comrades – Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Along the way, his
journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps'
highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira
Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui
within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro
Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village.
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group
strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for
the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at
the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger,
Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into
a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is
the demons' stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground
is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the
demons ignites.
