[2025.08.07] RAYMOND LAM REVEALS THE TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS PREQUEL WILL START PRODUCTION EARLY NEXT YEAR

Raymond Lam Fung attended the mobile phone press conference yesterday, during which the commercial in which Lam Fung and Linda Chung Ka Yan played lawyer in a war of words was showed. This couple reunited again after 18 years after HEART OF GREED, evoking everyone's memories. Then Lam Fung even had a video call with Ka Yan on the spot and exchanged pleasantries. Lam Fung revealed that the prequel to TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN would start filming early next year, and he would look forward to further explore different subjects with Chung Ka Yan.

Lam Fung said that actually the commercial would be the first that he and Chung Ka Yan hace collaborated on. "We didn't make too many commercials before. This time Ka Yan came to my concert as a guest for one show, and everyone responded well. Since we thought that there was a gimmick that had good collective memories, we came up with this pretty interesting advertisement." Did Ka Yan fly back to Hong Kong from Canada just to shoot the advertisement? Lam Fung laughed and pointed out that she probably made the trip to be a guest at his concert, and happened to make this commercial along the way. He admitted that he and Ka Yan have not seen each other for 18 years. As long as the audience wanted, they also hoped to work together again in a movie. Ka Yan has said that they could shoot the movie version of HEARTS OF GREED. Lam Fung felt that they could work together on many different subjects.

Speaking of the TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN prequel lacking a beautiful fighting female character, would he recommend Ka Yan to join? Lam Fung said, "Action can be trained for, but you have to ask the boss and the director. I have asked privately, the script is 70 to 80% done and filming should start early next year. I would also receive training." However he pointed out that the concert tour will start in September and end January next year, and will tour to many cities in the mainland, Southeast Asia, the United States and Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Japan. He will devote himself to the film's kung fu training in early January next year, the schedule will have some overlap.

Lam Fung recently accompanied his daughter Luna on summer vacation, with his wife Zhang Xinyue they as a family of three traveled to Singapore and Australia. He bitterly laughed that the two week journey was very fulfilling, vacationing with his daughter was a test and not for rest. Did they leave as a trio and return as a quartet? He joked, "Did I run into a ghost? I'm just kidding, I hope so!" Did he want to try for a son? He joked, "Maybe a quintet, thank you for your blessings!" As for the upcoming "Commercial Radio Live Concert", he has not yet officially begun to rehearse. There will be dancing this time, he and Louis Cheung Kai Chung both looked forward to dancing the girl group choreography together. They even felt that they could still "twist", so they hoped to surprise everyone.

Speaking of BIG FOUR's upcoming concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum, Dicky Cheung Wai Kin expressed that he wanted to challenge Lam Fung's "chair dance", Lam Fung smiled and said that he would welcome the challenge. Everyone has their own style and nothing is impossible, but in his mind who would dance the chair dance the best among BIG FOUR? He joked, "Stacking up all four together would be the best!"

As for Lam Fung's concert tour, the performance would be slightly different in hopes of giving the audience a sense of freshness. However the chair dance part would be retained. Would he buy insurance for the chair? He joked, "My personal chair will accompany the tour, and it's very sturdy. It even has my name engraved on it."
