[2025.11.30] CARLOS CHAN SECRETLY STOPS WORKING FOR 5 MONTHS DUE TO EYE AILMENT

Carlos Chan reveals that when he was a newlywed, he almost went blind from eye ailments

Artist Carlos Chan Ka Lok once fell into a trough in his life journey, his eyes suddenly became severe painful and congested without warning, and his vision was blurred. The doctor stated that the condition should not be ignored as he had to chance of losing his sight. Ka Lok then stopped working for 5 months, focusing on treatment and hoping to recover as soon as possible! Because he had to take the medicine for 3 months, he suffered from rapid heartbeat, insomnia, and anxiety. Fortunately his wife Shiga Lin and the team gave him infinite encouragement and rekindled his hope!

The Emperor male god Carlos Chan Ka Lok married artist Shiga Lin Sze Nga in mid-2023. At that time he was lucky in love and career, but he never expected that bad luck was coming! Now that he has overcome the disease, he said in an interview, "One day I changed my clothes and wanted to drive to walk the dog, but suddenly my eye hurt drastically. It was really rough, and it hurt so much that I vomited. Hating to go to the doctor to begin with, I had to submit and go to the hospital. I was pushed into the emergency room on a wheelchair. Originally the doctor said I was fine, prescribed me some medication and eye drop and told me to go home and observe." Unexpectedly, two hours later the medicine dissipated, and Ka Lok's condition was more serious than before. The whites of his eyes were all red, and he scared his wife when he opened them. At the time he realized that he was in trouble.

Eventually he found an authoritative ophthalmologist, and after the consultation he realized that it was not a trivial matter. "Ordinary eye redness may just be a ruptured microfialicular blood vessel in the cornea, but it turned out that there was a problem with the part connecting the cranial nerves at the back of the eyeball, so the intraocular pressure was very high. However if I underwent surgery at that time, the risk was very high. The doctor and the team had several meetings and decided to use a vaccine to see if it could stop the bleeding first. I started to think at the time, what would I do if I went blind? I had to take care of my parents and my newly married wife, I felt really bad, and didn't dare to talk to anyone!"

While at the hospital, Ka Lok could only wait quietly. As hopelessness filled his entire body, Shiga, who was busy with work, had to go to the hospital every day and take care of him meticulously. F Fortunately, about 5 days later Ka Lok finally showed signs of stopping the bleeding, and the couple finally were able to let go temporarily. Ka Lok said, "After being discharged from the hospital I had to take medicine for 3 months. Even now I have to go back for a follow-up appointment every year now. The most bizarre thing is that no one knows what happened to make me sick. (Did you give up a lot of jobs at that time?) I stopped working for at least 5 months, and I had side effects after taking medication. I often suffered from insomnia and rapid heartbeat. At that time I tried wearing sunglasses to work. Whenever people asked me, I said that I was hurt from playing soccer in an attempt to downplay the matter. I didn't want anyone to know at all."

Actually before the "incident", Ka Lok learned that director Stanley Kwan Kam Peng would produce the Emperor Motion Picture SOMEONE LIKE ME (JEUNG NGOR JEH YEUNG DIK OI CHING). In view of his interest in the script and role, he recommended himself in hopes of getting an audition opportunity. "Who knew that the answer would be that they wanted to confirm the lead actress first, and they felt that my sunny image was in contrast to the role, so they said they had to consider it. I didn't expect to be sick right after I started waiting!" However fate would always arrange the "most suitable" to appear. During the recuperation, Ka Lok suddenly received an invitation from the team. "I was in a bad shape at the time, but I felt that I had to go to the meeting; no matter what, I had to explain to them. They comforted me after they learned about my incident, and they were willing to listen to my thoughts. Finally they felt that my character was suitable for the needs of the role at that moment, and we clicked right away!"

After experiencing this nightmare in life, Ka Lok gained an unprecedented understanding. The filming of "SOMEONE" made him completely let go of himself, and together with the team he created the sex volunteer "Ah Kin" (character name). "I feel that someone has accompanied me on this path, and I was much more at ease. I also told myself that I can't let myself go when acting in the future. I would have to have a very firm grip for the audience to be able to see me! The most talked about daring performance was filmed in the middle and late stages, and I didn't think about anything because this time the emphasis was on the nakedness of the mind rather than the body. (Can Chan Ka Lok in real life be like the sex volunteer, and keep sex and love separate?) No, sex and love are one. You have to have the feel before you can take the next step."

With casualties from the 5-level fire in Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, the members of the boy band MIRROR made a concerted effort to comfort the victims. Despite rumors on the Internet that Anson Lo went to the scene to move supplies, it was a case of mistaken identity. However he actually has privately comforted an affected "disciple" (fan nickname) through video chat. His heart warming behavior has received praises.

Recently many artists have either cancelled or postponed their events to mourn the Wang Fuk Court fire. Anson Lo not only sent supplies to the affected "disciples" through the fan club, but also personally made a video call with a fan to express condolences. Some "disciples" posted online, "We didn't follow the wrong person. When he does charity he isn't advertising it. I wish the affected victims would be able to tide over the difficulties. All of us Hong Kong people are with you!" Some fans described the idol as an "angel on earth", "He knows that his strength can bring hope to others!" A photo leaked on the Internet saying that Anson Lo personally came to the scene to help transport supplies, but it turned out that someone with a resemblance to him. The person in the photo was actually Jack Lo, a contestant of "KING MAKER VI".

MIRROR members who silently participated in the disaster relief also included Anson Kong (AK) and Tiger, who went to Tai Po to distribute meals to cheer on the victims and volunteers. Some volunteer drivers had eyes on them and tag them online in their comments. "Hong Kong people have an abundance of love. From now I would listen to your songs more." In addition some Wang Fuk Court residents posted that they had no date to return home, felt infinite despair, and tagged Edan and AK on social networks in hopes of getting them to send them encouraging words. Edan immediately sent encouragement. "Let's go! I know that it definitely isn't easy now, I hope to be able to give you strength. Everyone must work hard and hold on." AK also said, "Let's go, I hope to be able to give you strength. I hope you and your neighbors can continue to hold on. I am praying for you!" On the other hand, a 72-year-old grandma who passed away in the fire was a fan of MIRROR member Ian. He was very heartbroken upon hearing the news, and later posted a post in all black on social networks to express his condolences.

As for ERROR member Dee Ho Kai Wah (Ah Dee), the Tai Po resident has not updated his social network after the incident. Some fans have expressed concern. He wrote a long post yesterday morning about the topic of inner healing. "I know that some people have seen my lack of updates, and become concern as they know that my family lives in Tai Po. I am very sorry." He added that the reason for not sharing information at the time of the incident was because there was a lot of information online. Since he was unable to distinguish between truth and falsehood, he decided to leave the traffic to those in need.

Many artists have extended helping hands. Benny Chan Ho Man's model wife Jiang Lisha recently shared a video of donating materials through social networks. She pulled a cart full of food to the donation point, and then the rescue team distributed the supplies to the victims at the shelter center.

TVB's "Tung Wah Charity Gala" held last night was renamed in Chinese from "Joy Fills Tung Wah" to "Kindness Fills Tung Wah", and the fundraising projects made drastic changes from the past performance items to to singing to raise funds to support families affected by the Tai Po fire. At the beginning of the program a moment of silence took place. After the ceremony, the "Godfather of Rock" Donny Summer (Ha Siu Sing) led Pal Sinn Lap Man, Benjamin Yuen Wai Ho, Joey Thye Cho Yee and others to sing songs such as "Never Give Up" and "Childhood" to cheer up the victims. Ha Siu Sing said before his performance, "On October 26th, the whole world saw a tragic disaster in Hong Kong. In a moment homes and families were lost. Kind-hearted people, your donation would help the victims. My team and I want to tell them, hold back the tears and muster up the courage."

In addition, the difficult stunt fundraising project originally scheduled with Benjamin Yuen Wai Ho on a motorcycle last night was also cancelled. He was asked in an interview yesterday if he would feel sorry for the cancellation of the performance. He said, "Tonight we are working together to raise funds for everyone, hoping to help friends in need. I have to adjust my emotions. As a performer, it's really not easy. Donate or contribute however you can."

Singer Miriam Yeung Chin Wah held a series of 6 "Miriam Yeung Live MY LIVE 2025" concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum last night as scheduled, and her friends in the circle who supported her in the audience included Rosamund Kwan Chi Lam, Anna Ueyama, Alex Lam Tak Shun, AGA (Kong Hoi Ka), Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi, etc. Due to the recent fire in Tai Po, she hoped to give back to the society with practical actions. In addition to donating the first show proceeds and all profits from the 6 show peripheral products for charitable purposes, canceling the gift of flower baskets and adjusting the content of the performance, a one- minute silence ceremony was held at the beginning of the show to mourn the victims of the accident.

As soon as the show started, the venue was pitch black and the screen was filled with subtitles. "The recent serious fire in Tai Po has taken many precious lives and caused many families to fall into grief. Let us mourn the dead in the disaster, the firefighter who died heroically, and extend our deepest condolences to their families and the injured. May the dead rest in peace and the injured recover soon, and may every person affected regain courage and strength. Life is impermanent, but we choose to live well, sing well, and cherish it." After Chin Wai and the audience closed their eyes and observed a moment of silence, she appeared in a white top and jeans, with feather hair accessories on her head, and sat on the two-story high "glass boat" to sing "Old Land" and "The Best Debt". One of Chin Wah's original red costume was changed to black and platinum overnight. Reportedly most of the visual effects have been deleted in the first performance after alteration overnight.

Recently many online posts have been talking about the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, among which Donnie Yen Chi Tan's wife Cissy Wang and Tyson Yoshi's wife Christy have reposted speculation about the cause of the fire on social networks. Due to wording issues, some online have been upset. Cissy and Christy have deleted the content as soon as possible. Cissy posted an apology. "Today I reposted some inappropriate words in my story. In order to avoid misleading or causing misunderstandings, I have already delete the content right away...... I am very sorry for not noticing the original author's inappropriate wording. Thank you all for your reminders."

Yen Chi Tan and Tyson have recently sent warmth to the victims. Yen Chi Tan has enthusiastically made donations, while Tyson has donated HK$ 1 million worth of home appliances to show their infinite kindness.

Singers George Lam Chi Cheung and Sally Yeh (Yip Sin Man) are currently on a concert tour in Chengdu. They and the staff are saddened and felt very heavy hearted after learning about the fire disaster. Although they are in Chengdu, they still care about Hong Kong. So they specifically recorded a chorus "Each and Every Night" for Hong Kong people during the rehearsal to encourage everyone to tide over the difficulties, mourn the victims, and pay tribute to the firefighters and volunteers who are bravely fighting in the disaster relief.

South Korea's annual music event "2025 MAMA AWARDS" came to an end last night under the haze of the fire of the century fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong. Earlier rumored to be absent, Chow Yun Fat finally appeared in the finale and presented the grand prize "Artist of the Year" to the king of the music scene, G-Dragon (GD). He also expressed his condolences and cheers on the spot.

The "2025 MAMA AWARDS", which returned to Hong Kong after a seven-year hiatus, was held for two consecutive nights at the main venue of Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. A few days ago, a deadly level-five fire broke out in Tai Po. Originally scheduled to perform on the first day, Hong Kong boy group MIRROR and the Oscar award winning Best Actress and the guest of honor Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) were absent. As the guest of honor on the second day, Chow Yun Fat was rumored to be absent as well but finally appeared as scheduled to present the award at the finale. Wearing a black suit with a black ribbon buttoned on his collar, he mourned the victims. He got choked up before presenting the award, saying, "Good evening, I have a small request. Please rise and send heartfelt wishes to the residents of Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po." Then he led the audience to observe a moment of silence. Afterward he presented the "Artist of the Year" to GD, the leader of the group Big Bang, during which the two held hands and hugged and made GD feel shy. This is Chow Yun Fat's first appearance on the stage of "MAMA" after many years. Back then he danced to the divine hit "Gangnam Style" with Big Bang and male singer Psy. Yesterday he awarded GD the "Artist of the Year" and the two shared the stage again, which surprised music fans.

In addition, GD won three awards in a row. He also won the "Best Dance Performance Male Solo" and "Best Male Artist". Wearing a black suit, he mourned in a heavy tone: "I don't know what to say, I hope everyone will cheer together. The people of Hong Kong have sunken in a sudden nightmare. I want to be an artist who would be able to bring strength to everyone. In order to send strength to the citizens who have experienced the tragedy, I have worked hard to prepare for tonight's performance. I hope everyone will look forward to it, and I hope everyone will cheer up!" Later when GD accepted the "Best Male Artist" from his close friend in the circle Lee Soo-Hyuk, he said that this was the second time Lee Soo-Hyuk has presented the award to him and hoped to have the opportunity to present the award to him next time. He also said that he would dedicate this honor to Big Bang teammates, friends, family and the team who worked hard together with him. He immediately gave Lee Soo-Hyuk a thumbs up, and Lee Soo-Hyuk responded, "GD is also an artist I like very much, please continue to bring handsome performances in the future."

As for the popular girl group aespa, it won "Best Choreography", "Best Dance Performance Female Group" and "Best Female Group". One of the awards the popular boy group Stray Kids was "Album of the Year", and the members could not help but burst into tears when they gave their speech. In addition, the demon boy group Saja Boys from the popular anime "KPOP DEMON HUNTERS" was originally scheduled to be performed by members of the boy groups BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, TWS and ZEROBASEONE, but it was decided to cancel due to its background setting coming from the underworld. The members of the girl group BABYMONSTER transformed into "Demon Hunter HUNTR/X" to perform the hit song "GOLDEN", and "KPOP DEMON HUNTERS" was also awarded the "BEST OST" award.

[2025.11.30] TONY LEUNG CHIU WAI REFUSES TO DIRECT AND BECOMES A KILLER?

Tony Leung Chiu Wai lets it slip that he would play a serial killer in a new series

Depending on the audience response, Shu Qi might direct again
courtesy of on.cc

Movie stars Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Shu Qi recently attended the Singapore International Film Festival. With good reviews for her directorial debut, Shu Qi did not rule out directing a new film. As for Leung Chiu Wai, he laughed at himself for having no talent and had no intention of directing. For the first time he revealed that he would play a serial killer in the new drama, which would be very exciting!

Best Actor Tony Leung Chiu Wai attended a symposium held at the Singapore International Film Festival the night before. He said that Singapore was like an old friend to him, because he often went to perform and sing there in the 80s. He really missed the local chicken rice, laksa and food court. Speaking of work, he revealed that next year he would be rather busy as he has already confirmed a movie and a television series. He was also studying other scripts. When asked about the television series role, he at first planned to keep it confidential. Later he relented, "I don't know if I can tell everyone, in fact I play a serial killer in the TV series." The audience was in an uproar, and he continued, "It's very different from the roles I've played before, it's a very dark role."

After many years of acting, would he plan to become a director? He humbly said that he has no talent in this area. "I have nothing to say, so I just do my duty as an actor with peace of mind and help the directors express what they want to express." When asked by an audience member about rumors that he has settled in Japan, he clarified that he did not completely move to Japan; but because he liked the quiet feeling of language barriers and basically no one talked to him in Japan, he felt very comfortable.

As for Shu Qi's first self-written and directed work that became the opening film of the film festival, she recently led stars 9m88 and Bai Xiaoying to attend the opening ceremony of the event. Shu Qi shared her 10 years of creative thoughts, and admitted that directing work is more challenging than imagined. "It took me 10 years to get to this point, the Singapore International Film Festival should be my last stop. I am really grateful to the excellent actors who accompanied me here!" Would she direct a second work? She said humorously, "Whether or not I would direct another depends on whether the Singaporean audience would like it or not!" The audience immediately applauded enthusiastically!

Gabriel Harrison (Hoi Chun Kit) made a video on social platforms on the 8th of this month saying that his wife Effie Mok Ka Chi had acute liver failure (or acute liver cirrhosis) and has exhausted their financial reserves but still was not enough to cope with the huge medical expenses of treatment and liver replacement surgery in Guangzhou Zhongshan Hospital. He pleaded with the kind hearted masses to help him get over the hard times and ended up receiving HK$ 800,000 from good friends in show business; As he thought that the worst was over, the bad news came the night before that Mok Ka Chi passed away due to illness. Regarding her as his niece, director Teddy Chan Tak Sum posted on social networks to confirm the death.

Hoi Chun Kit posted a video to ask for help through social media on the 8th of this month. With a haggard face he cried in tears that his makeup artist wife Mok Ka Chi suffered from acute liver failure. She was in serious condition, and he urgently needed to raise medical expenses for his wife to undergo liver transplant surgery at Guangzhou Zhongshan Hospital to save her life; However after exhausting the reserve of 700,000 yuan he still owes half of it. Feeling helpless and with no choice he made the appeal on social platforms, hoping that someone who would be willing to help him.

After the news of Hoi Chun Kit's crowdfunding to save his wife spread widely, it attracted attention everywhere. With the enthusiastic help of friends in the entertainment industry such as Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Louis Koo Tin Lok, and Eric Tsang Chi Wai, he raised HK$ 800,000 for medical expenses. In the middle of this month, Hoi Chun Kit shared a photo of him and his wife holding hands on social platforms, mentioning her latest condition and thanking those who helped him. Annie Liu On Lai also explained the situation to the outside world on behalf of her friends, saying that Hoi Chun Kit was very grateful for the care and generosity of everyone; at that time Mok Ka Chi was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Sun Yat-sen University Hospital in Guangzhou, waiting for a suitable liver transplant and her physical condition remained stable for the time being. Yet MoK Ka Chi finally lost her life due to illness; Director Teddy Chan Tak Sum posted on social media the night before to confirm the news of Mok Ka Chi's death, "Dear 'niece' Ka Chi: I have watched you grow up since you were a child. When your mother informed me that you have gone to heaven the news is very helpless and sad...... I hope you are as lively and cute as before in another space, and live a new life without the virus!" Many online also expressed regret for this, left messages on social platforms wishing the deceased would rest in peace and hoping that Hoi Chun Kit would cheer up and take care.

The 53-year-old Hoi Chun Kit participated in the New Talent Singing Contest in 1994 and won. He signed a contract to become a Capital Artists singer and released an album, but his development in the music scene was mediocre; then he focused on making dramas at TVB. His early works include "DETECTIVE INVESTIGATION FILES III", "RURAL HEROES", "UNTRACEABLE EVIDENCE II", and in recent years, "KIDS' LIVES MATTER", "FORENSIC HEROES IV", "SINISTER BEINGS", "DID. 12", etc. After he left TVB and went to develop in the mainland he met Effie Mok Ka Chi. The two got married in 2017 and often traveled between Hong Kong and the mainland. His wife was always by his side, taking care of him from time to time. Hoi Chun Kit once said in an interview in the past that when he met Mok Ka Chi at the most frustrating and lowest point in his life, his fate was rewritten and the prodigal son returned. He was grateful that the biggest gain from entering the industry was meeting his wife. His wife's passing would bring a very heavy blow to Hoi Chun Kit.

South Korea's annual music event "2025 MAMA AWARDS" was held in Kai Tak last night under the haze of the deadly fire in Tai Po. Wearing a black ribbon, Korean star Park Bo-gum led the audience in an observance of a half-minute silence before the opening. Award winning Korean stars and award presenters often expressed concern for those affected and the atmosphere was somber. Originally scheduled to be the award presenters, Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) did not attend. Scheduled to perform, MIRROR also announced their resignation the night before the event, setting off a battle of words between their fans!

South Korea's "2025 MAMA AWARDS" returned to Hong Kong after 7 years and was held at the main venue of Kai Tak Sports Park for two consecutive days starting last night, but a major fire broke out before the performance. Although the event was carried out as scheduled and broadcast live, but the organizer canceled the red carpet session and issued guidelines to the performers. "When arriving in Hong Kong, if there are media and fans at the airport, please do not make overly excited or overly bright expressions, this is to avoid misunderstandings by the media and the public", "The performers all wore masks or calmly entered Hong Kong through the airport", which some online called a "smile ban". At the award ceremony all artists were dressed in dark color or black as a memorial at the request of the organizer.

Before the opening, the host Park Bo-gum wore a new style black hanbok with a black ribbon at the collar. He talked about the recent tragedies in Hong Kong. "In this incident, beloved relatives and friends were lost, and also left indelible pain for beloved family and friends. We sincerely express our deepest condolences." He then led the audience to observe a half-minute silence, prayed for no more casualties, and hoped to send comfort to the families and friends of the victims through the performance that night. After the ceremony, Park Bo-gum continued, "I sincerely wish that no such incident would occur again. I hope through the stage to deliver comfort and hope, even it's just a little; and also be able to deliver the strength to keep going. In addition, we also want to remember this pain with the world and share our sincere condolences. We want to express the message of 'Support Hong Kong'. MAMA has already made a donation to support the victims. We sincerely thank everyone for their passionate support. We hope everyone would be able to experience the sincere feelings are in these performances."

The first award presenter Lee Jun-Hyuk and the "Fans' Choice Award" winning boy group RIIZE expressed their condolences to the victims, and member Anton said in Cantonese, "I would like to express my sincerest care to those in need of strength and support." The girl group IVE, led by popular member Jang Won Young, won the "Favorite Global Performer" and "Favorite Girl Group" awards. Group leader An Yu-jin sent condolences to the family of the victims and wish a speedy recovery for the injured. Stray Kids won the "Fans' Choice Award" and the group leader Bang Chan said in English:, "I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest condolences and tell everyone that you are not alone." The boy group CORTIS and the girl group Hearts2Hearts, who won the Newcomer Award, sent their deep condolences to the fire victims. Girl group aespa's mainland member Ningning said in Putonghua, "Our deepest condolences to the comrades who were affected by the fire and our highest salute to the firefighter." Donating 1 million RMB for disaster relief earlier, girl group i-dle's mainland member Yuqi expressed their condolences to the victims of the fire in Putonghua.

When the girl group MEOVV performed the song "Burning Up", they changed the sensitive lyrics reminiscent of a fire "Burning Up" to "Turn it up". The popular girl group i-dle appeared in super sexy costumes, reinterpreting the song "Good Thing" in a strong rock style. The members wore gorgeous costumes that echoed the song's bold concept. As for the boy group Super Junior (SJ), who celebrated their 20th anniversary, they performed on "MAMA" again after 8 years. The 9 members appeared in black and sang many hit songs in a row. SJ was later awarded the "Inspiration Achievement Award", and member Choi Si- won sent condolences and encouragement to the victims of the fire.

Towards the end of the event, actor Ju Ji-hoon presented two awards, among which the "Song of the Year" was won by the popular girl group BLACKPINK member Rose and the American star Bruno Mars' divine hit "APT." The fan-voted "Fans' Choice of the year" was won by the popular boy group ENHYPEN, and the leader JUNGWON was moved to tears at one point. Member Park Sung-hoon pointed out that this year is the 5th anniversary of the group's debut and will regard the award as a gift from fans for their 5th anniversary.

In addition, Originally scheduled to be the award presenters, Chow Yun Fat and Yeung Chi King did not attend the event. Originally the only Hong Kong representative to participate in the performance, boy group MIRROR also announced their absence from the event through social networks the night before and left "MAMA" with zero Hong Kong star. As soon as the news of MIRROR's absence came out, a massive "ticket dump wave" emerged. Some people even sold them at a reasonable price in order to "get them off their hands" to stop losses. Polar opposite responses appeared among the fans. Some fans agreed with their idols' approach, saying that they should accompany the people of Hong Kong through the heavy moment now, and also show respect for the people affected by the disaster. They worried that if the 12 members have continued to sing and dance on the stage they would have been condemned by thousands. Some fans also lamented that MIRROR's career has been difficult; each time they had a big show or important performance, they would encounter different obstacles. As from heartaches for them, they also expressed that they would keep going with MIRROR and continue to support their idols. However, some fans with opposite opinions hoped that idols would perform on stage to soothe the wounded hearts of citizens and cheer up Hong Kong people. In addition many people have spent tens of thousands of dollars to grab tickets for this time. Now they have suffered losses on both ends, they were very upset.

In order to help the victims, Maggie Wong Mei Ki and her husband Ray Chung Kin Wai went to Tai Po as volunteers to help organize and distribute supplies. Wong Mei Kei shared a number of videos on social networks, constantly updating the items and information needed for the disaster. Among them singer Tat Lau Yi Tat also appeared on the scene to help. She mentioned that the public has continuous provided supplies, and many volunteers have participated in the rescue. Whether drivers or foot soldiers, they were all waiting on the streets in hopes of doing their part. Many secondary school students after school volunteered to help, which was rather moving for her.

Many artists have tried their best to support the victims of the fire at Wang Fuk Court. Some victims posted envelopes printed with "from Hins and HCFC" on social networks, sharing their experience of receiving condolences from singer Hins Cheung King Hin. "In the midst of the chaos today I received a strange call. It turned out to be a staff member of the Cheung King Hin fan club, saying that they saw my registered address at the fan club and knew that I was a resident of the disaster, so they wanted to do their best to provide support. I couldn't help but cry when I saw them in person. I haven't eaten or slept for the past two days, I settled the elderly at home, helped the neighbors process information, sorted out useful information, and had no time to deal with my own emotions at all. When someone showed their concern for me at that moment, my tears couldn't be held back anymore. Thank you Cheung King Hin for your kindness, thank you for H-Crew's hard work, your efforts have made me feel warm in the ruthless fire, and I will pass on this love." Many online praised Cheung King Hin for caring for fans and being extremely warm.

Everyone in the community has expressed concern and sorrow over the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire. Emperor Group Chairman Albert Yeung Sau Sing led a group of artists yesterday to send care and support to the affected residents, donating a total of more than HK$ 20 million, following Nicholas Tse Ting Fung's donation of 5 million the day before, Joey Yung Cho Yee, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, and Leo Ku Kui Ke also donated HK$ 1 million each in hopes of being able to help the victims over the difficulties sooner.

Among them, the "Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest 2025", scheduled to be held in Macao on the 29th and 30th of this month, will adjust the atmosphere of the venue, combine music with food to unite people's hearts, convey comfort and positive energy, and work with all audiences to turn care into blessings.

In addition, holding the "GIN LEE LIVE IN HONG KONG 2026" concert on February 7 and 8 next year, Gin Lee will donate all the proceeds from the two concerts for disaster relief and reconstruction with the full support of her boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing. At the same time, the Group has also launched an internal employee fundraising campaign to support the residents of Wang Fuk Court.

Joey Yung Cho Yee has always been concerned about the incident and said bluntly, "When I learned about the Tai Po fire accident, I was so shocked, so sad, and felt that the world is impermanent. I have been following the incident for the past two days, and I would like to express my sincerest concern to the firefighters who died in the line of duty, the residents of Wang Fuk Court who have lost their loved ones and their homes, and I am also grateful to the extremely heroic disaster relief workers." Once posted on social platforms to pray for the safety of the victims and firefighters, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin said, "We are very sad that this fire has caused serious casualties and destroyed the homes of the affected residents. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the firefighters who died in the line of duty and the affected residents, and thank all the firefighting heroes and frontline rescuers for their tireless efforts." Gillian Chung Yun Tung said, "Like all Hong Kong people, I am concerned about the Tai Po disaster area and wish the residents who unfortunately passed away rest in peace and the injured recovery as soon as possible. I wish all affected people a speedy rise from the haze and return to normal life."

Planning to donate all the concert proceeds, Gin Lin said, "Over the past few days I have learned that everyone in the community has been making donations enthusiastically. I am very moved by the boss' support for my idea of donating all the concert proceeds. I hope to use this action to gather more strength to help alleviate the huge pressure on them of rebuilding their homes in the future." Group Chairman Albert Yeung Sau Sing said, "I am deeply saddened to see that countless families have lost their homes and loved ones due to this relentless fire. I hope that the injured will recover as soon as possible, and wish all affected people a gradual recovery from their pain and reclaim their lives. 'May the dead rest in peace and the living remain strong'. The road to rebuilding their homes is long, and we hope to work with the public to alleviate the plight of the affected people and overcome the difficulties together." Vice Chairman Alex Yeung Ching Lung said, "We hope that through this donation and mobilization of the Group's volunteers, the Group would be able to contribute to helping the residents of Wang Fuk Court overcome the difficulties, help them cope with the current crisis, and help the community rebuild and recover."

For days show business activities have been either cancelled or postponed due to the fire, and artists have either volunteer in person or made donations. Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Carina Lau Ka Ling donated HK$ 2 million to the Community Chest' Tai Po Fire Relief Assistance Fund; Anson Lo Hon Ting, Angelababy Yeung Wing, G.E.M. Tang Chi Kei each donated HK$ 1 million through the Yan Chia emergency relief fund.

Yesterday many events in which artists would have participated in were canceled or postponed. South Korea's "2025 MAMA Awards" (MAMA) will be held today and tomorrow at Kai Tak Stadium, and the event said that a moment of silence would take place at the event and donations would be made to support the affected families. The boy group MIRROR was originally scheduled to make their MAMA stage debut tonight, but issued a notice last night that they would not participate. Miriam Yeung's 6 Hong Kong Coliseum shows will start tomorrow night (29th), but the fireworks special effects will be canceled, and all profits from the proceeds from the first concert and the peripheral products of the 6 concerts will be donated to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Many artists have also who generously donated to disaster relief, including Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's HK$ 1 million donation through Po Leung Kuk, Jackson Wang's HK$ 1 million donation through the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, and mainland singer Han Hong's 10 million yuan (about HK$ 11 million) donation.

The Korean music awards ceremony "2025 MAMA Awards" will be held at Kai Tak Stadium today and tomorrow, and many Korean stars will perform in Hong Kong, including boy groups Super Junior, ENHYPEN, girl group i-dle, BABYMONSTER, MEOVV, G-Dragon, etc., and Hong Kong representatives include the boy group MIRROR. The first night's guest presenters would include Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), and the second night Chow Yun Fat.

A 5 alarm fire broke out at Wang Fu Court, Tai Po the day before yesterday, and South Korean media reported yesterday afternoon that the organizers included condolences and mourning methods for the victims, urgently modified and reorganized the content of the performance, and discussed whether special effects related to "fire" such as stage flames and explosions would be canceled, and it was even reported that Chow Yun Fat and Yeung Chi King would not attend the award ceremony.

MakerVille issued a special notice last night, deciding that MIRROR would not participate in the performance. "In view of the unfortunate fire incident at Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, the team has decided that MIRROR will not participate in the MAMA Awards Ceremony 2025 after careful consideration. MakerVille mourns the tragic loss of the fire and extends its deepest condolences to the injured and all those affected, and wishes the rescue work to be successful. The team also expresses its sincere apologies to the affected audience and appreciates everyone's understanding."

MAMA also issued a statement last night. "We express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the fire accident in Hong Kong. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all those, including the bereaved families, who are experiencing hardship through great loss and anxiety.

The 2025 MAMA AWARDS will add a "Support Hong Kong" message to create a time to share in the sorrow and commemorate, and we intend to contribute our efforts through donations to support the victims.

The 2025 MAMA AWARDS believes in the power of music to heal and unite. We are carefully preparing the overall stage composition and proceedings to ensure that it becomes a ceremony that conveys comfort and hope, rather than just dazzling productions. We hope that music can bring even a small amount of comfort and courage to everyone's hearts.

The 2025 MAMA AWARDS promises to be a responsible event that does its utmost until the very end." The event also announced that the red carpet event would be canceled tonight.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wah would hold 6 concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum starting tomorrow night. The event issued a statement saying that with the serious fire broke at Wang Fuk Court, the team is deeply saddened by the same heavy grief as the people of Hong Kong. Because the schedule and production restrictions could not be adjusted and fans from around the world have already arrivecd n Hong Kong. After numerous considerations the concerts would go on as scheduled. The team decided to respond to social needs with practical actions and work together to tide over the difficulties. All proceeds from tomorrow night's first concert and the peripheral products of the six concerts will be donated to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to support fire rescue and post- disaster reconstruction work. The concerts also cancelled the original scheduled firework effects, adjust some of the performance contents to be in a suitable condition for everyone to meet, deliver through music warmth and strength, heal hearts and gather strength. The team also called on friends in the circle and fans to donate the funds originally intended for the purchase of flower baskets to local fundraising platforms such as the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for disaster relief.

Emperor Entertainment's singers Arvin Tsang Ngo Fei, Angela Hui Ching Wan and Ken Hung Cheuk Lap were originally scheduled to hold a concert at the MacPherson Arena in Mong Kok for three consecutive days starting tonight, but announced the postponement yesterday. Joey Tang Kin Ming and Taiwanese singer Shino Lin would hold a concert at the Kwun Tong waterfront event space on Sunday (30th) but announce the postponement, and the follow-up arrangements will be announced later.

Artist Yung Tin Yau and his girlfriend Fu Tin Yan held a wedding banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel last night, which was originally intended to be interviewed by the media but was later canceled.

Many artists are concerned about the 5 alarm fire in Wang Fuk Court and have donated to disaster relief. Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's studio announced on Weibo: "The fire in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong has touched the heartstrings of all sectors of society. Cecilia Cheung has donated HK$100 through Po Leung Kuk in Hong Kong, which is specifically used for fire emergency rescue, transitional resettlement of disaster victims, and supply of daily necessities. Let's lead a helping hand and help each other tide over the difficulties." Mainland artist Han Hong donated 1,000 yuan through her charity fund. She commented, "My heart aches for Hong Kong! Pray for peace!" Jackson Wang also announced that he would donate $1 million through the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to help the fire affected comrades.

Many people in the entertainment industry are very concerned about the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. They have posted on social networks to express their deep sorrow, and forwarded community support information to find lost relatives, save pets and donate items, and cheer for firefighters and medical staff. Tai Po resident "Song God" Sam Hui Koon Kit posted a handwritten letter on social networks. "As a neighbor in Tai Po, I feel the same way! I hope all walks of life will support and concentrate on assisting the Fire Services Department in the rescue! God bless Hong Kong!"

Tai Po resident and ERROR member Poki Ng appeared at the supply transfer station to assist those in need, while teammate Denis Kwok Ka Chun (193) and MIRROR member Frankie Chan Shui Fai also spontaneously went to the community hall where the victims were temporarily evacuated to deliver supplies. Chan Shui Fai said, "I am moved! When I went to bring the supplies I didn't know where to deliver them. Before I arrived I already saw a large number of citizens carrying the supplies and setting off. Not knowing the way, I followed the brigade to the supply station. Also on the trip were many students who were carrying supplies out of the dormitory to help. On the way back I saw people keep bringing supplies. When one side is in trouble everyone helps!" Some fans who lived in Wang Fuk Court expressed their gratitude on the social media group. In addition to worrying about whether the support is sufficient, Chan Shui Fai also hoped that if anyone had any uneasiness would try to express their feelings in a way that suit them, continue to support each other, and wish everyone safety.

193 revealed that he drove all night to assist people in transporting supplies. He was willing to help transport them to community halls in different locations, and uploaded a photo of the rear of the car. "I feel that I got bigger after moving things for a night, and I am a little moved to see so many people uniting to help in the early morning. Without any planning in advance, I even ran into a very talented teammate helping out at a supply transfer station. If you are an early riser, you may want to consider helping out at various supply stations, or donating blood, and keep an eye on social media for updates. With too much negativity, you should put down your phone to rest, listen to music to relax, or chat with friends. Thank you all the firefighters for your hard work, may everyone be safe."

The Tai Po branch of the Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam's husband Oscar Siu Wai Jin operated Shengjian Bao restaurants was open all night after the fire and gave away free food and drinks, which was praised by many online. Becoming a mother in March this year, Louisa Ma Ming Sze said on social platforms, "Excuse me, I live in Kowloon, but my home can help take care of 1 or 2 babies. PM me if needed."

In addition, former Miss Hong Kong champion Lisa Tse Ga Ye reposted the clip on the social platform story the night before, writing in Chinese and English: "I would like to express my deepest condolences and prayers to all the victims, the injured, and those who lost their homes today (the day before yesterday). Today I witnessed my grandmother's home burn in the fire, it truly has been a heart breaking day." Some online were concerned about the personal safety of her grandmother. Tse Ga Ye replied on social platforms yesterday, apologizing for not updating everyone with the latest news. She revealed that no one was at home at the time of the fire, so her family was fine. She prayed for the victims or those affected, and expressed her deep condolences.
