The Carlos Chan Ka Lok and Fish Liew Chi Yu starred film SOMEONE LIKE ME (JEUNG NGOR JEH YEUNG DIK OI CHING) was selected to participate in the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival's "Women's Empowerment" segment. The two recently flew to Japan to participate in the world premiere and post-screening discussion. Playing a cerebral palsy patient, Liew Chi Yu admitted that the role was very difficult. "I think the most difficult thing to express is the psychology of the characters. Because when the physical disability is this big, they can still remain optimistic." She also said that before filming started, the crew arranged an exchange that would be hard to forget with friends with cerebral palsy.
Participating in the Tokyo International Film Festival for the first time, Ka Lok He was very excited both on and off screen. Regarding his head-shaving performance becoming the focus, he revealed that he gave zero resistance. "I am actually very happy about shaving my head, because I think putting gel in my hair is very troublesome; so when the director proposed to shave my head, I agreed immediately."
