The 22nd "Hong Kong Asian Film Festival HKAFF" held a closing and awards ceremony the night before, announcing the "New Talent Award" and "Youth Jury Award" on the spot. This year's "New Talent Award" judges were actress Cecilia Choi Sze Wan, film festival curator Sung Moon, and film producer Shan Zuolong, and selected Bian Zhuo, the director of "AS THE WATER FLOWS", to win the award.

As a judge at the film festival for the first time, Choi Sze Wan said that watching 8 movies in 3 days was like a marathon. Although it took a lot of energy, but it felt very fun. She also judged from the intuitive feeling of the actors appreciating the movie, so she had different opinions from the other two senior filmmakers. However this time her favorite AS THE WATER FLOWS was also a movie within the range of the two filmmakers, so everyone was satisfied with the results. After this experience, she also had a new perspective to learn about film. Would she start to be interested in other roles in film? She said that she still had too many things that she wanted to learn as an actor, so she has not have the courage to do so. As for her husband Terrance Lau Chun Him, as far as she knew he probably would be interested in doing behind-the-scenes work, but she left the details for him to share. Choi Sze Wan and Lau Chun Him were busy with their own jobs soon after getting married and have not seen each other in three weeks. She joked that she hoped that she would not to wait until Qixi to meet like the Cowherd and Weaver Girl, but at the moment her husband was still working in Taiwan; so she could only take time to visit him. She revealed that recently they watched the same movie on the same date without making plans to in advance, then they talked on the phone and shared their opinions. It felt very romantic.

Actors Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Peter Chan Charm Man, Ling Man Lung and others from the closing movie PASS AND GOAL (YIK JUEN SEUNG BOON CHEUNG) also attended the closing ceremony. Gigi said the film would be very educational and suitable for children and adults. The film would be released on Christmas and encounter many blockbusters, but Gigi still confidently expressed her hope that this film win out as a "dark horse", just like the title of the film. Gigi said that she frequently played mother roles, so working with a group of children as the team leader in PASS AND GOAL was not difficult all all. The toughest part was shooting during the hottest days of summer. Everyday they were working in the open under the sun, completely without any roof or shade over their heads.

Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun, Rosa Velasco (Wai Law Sha) and Lam Yiu Sing two nights ago appeared at the closing ceremony for the film ROAD TO VENDETTA's premiere. As the lead actor for the first time, Jeffrey was asked about how he felt about being an action actor. He said that he enjoyed it very much. The most unforgettable was having to deal with Japan's chilly weather. "The temperature was in the negative (Celsius) for the long run, everyday we worked for 16 to 18 hours but everyone had a lot of fun. So as soon as we were on the set we were all awake again."
