Movie stars Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Shu Qi recently attended the Singapore International Film Festival. With good reviews for her directorial debut, Shu Qi did not rule out directing a new film. As for Leung Chiu Wai, he laughed at himself for having no talent and had no intention of directing. For the first time he revealed that he would play a serial killer in the new drama, which would be very exciting!

Best Actor Tony Leung Chiu Wai attended a symposium held at the Singapore International Film Festival the night before. He said that Singapore was like an old friend to him, because he often went to perform and sing there in the 80s. He really missed the local chicken rice, laksa and food court. Speaking of work, he revealed that next year he would be rather busy as he has already confirmed a movie and a television series. He was also studying other scripts. When asked about the television series role, he at first planned to keep it confidential. Later he relented, "I don't know if I can tell everyone, in fact I play a serial killer in the TV series." The audience was in an uproar, and he continued, "It's very different from the roles I've played before, it's a very dark role."

After many years of acting, would he plan to become a director? He humbly said that he has no talent in this area. "I have nothing to say, so I just do my duty as an actor with peace of mind and help the directors express what they want to express." When asked by an audience member about rumors that he has settled in Japan, he clarified that he did not completely move to Japan; but because he liked the quiet feeling of language barriers and basically no one talked to him in Japan, he felt very comfortable.

As for Shu Qi's first self-written and directed work that became the opening film of the film festival, she recently led stars 9m88 and Bai Xiaoying to attend the opening ceremony of the event. Shu Qi shared her 10 years of creative thoughts, and admitted that directing work is more challenging than imagined. "It took me 10 years to get to this point, the Singapore International Film Festival should be my last stop. I am really grateful to the excellent actors who accompanied me here!" Would she direct a second work? She said humorously, "Whether or not I would direct another depends on whether the Singaporean audience would like it or not!" The audience immediately applauded enthusiastically!
