The film DOG DAY EVENING (YUT GOR BO MOON DIK DAN SUN) is in release now. The film on the surface is an absurd "service termination" dispute that triggered a hostage crisis, behind which the little people's helplessness and toughness in surviving between the gaps of the system were brought out. Rachel Leung Yung Ting cut her hair short in the film and transformed into an explosive female police officer in full contrast; the Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress Fish Liew Chi Yu dressed as a mascot and turned into a "keyboard warrior" to vent her emotions.

Leung Yung Ting played the female police officer who rescued hostages in the film. The character had a strange personality. Ill tempered and grumpy, she always adhered to his belief. She smiled and said that she has been a vegetarian for 12 years. Her temperament was always gentle, so interpreting the explosive side was difficult. She thanked her co-stars. Playing police officers, Kumer So Sun Yu (Grizzly) and Edward Chui Woai Dong were both six feet and gave a contrast with the petite her, perfectly supporting her character's presence.

Fish played the TV station part tine worker "Lucky", who gave away leaflets and dressed as mascots normally. A few steps slower than others, she unexpectedly became one of the hostages. She admitted that the character was quite similar to her, "I like to hide behind the characters through acting, exploring human nature or using characters to release different aspects of the heart." She said that "Lucky" hid in the mascot costume and would make a variety of "lewd" action. Normally she would be very timid, but on the Internet she was a radical "keyboard warrior". She had a lot of anger in the heart want to vent, in the film her blue hair was her own disguise to protect herself.

Did she have a lot of rage inside? Fish admitted, "I do! When something isn't expected or feels undeserved, I would really want to talk about it; however I would be dumb at the mouth and would stutter like Lucky. I didn't know how to release the rage, feeling that my temper would turn bad. Now I would transfer my energy, like stomping my feet and exercising." Would she release it on her boyfriend? She smiled and said, "Haha, like what! In short I would release the energy and would not immediately lose my temper."

Regarding the blue hair look in the film, Fish revealed that due to excessive bleaching, the hair of the back of her head fell out and would not grow back. She once needed a wig to cover it. She joked that Leung Yung Ting was even more extreme, almost "completely shaved". Leung Yung Ting said with a smile, "I think it's great, this time is the shortest since I was three years old. The short hair style makes the character more vivid, but it only lasted half a year as I had to grow my hair long again for work."

As for dressing up as a mascot for the shoot, Fish pointed out that in the first three groups of scenes she had to dress up as the mascot and did not need makeup. Although the shoot took place between autumn and winter, the studio set was very stuffy and dusty. When I ran I kept sweating, fortunately I was thin enough to take it. In addition I didn't need to line up for make up, once on the set I could just put on the mascot's head and start work. It was relatively convenient.

Have they ever had the experience of unable to end a contract? Leung Yung Ting shared that she has joined the fitness center membership, and found hidden details after paying by credit card. To cancel, she needed three months advanced notification. "I still had to pay the remaining three months. Losing three months of membership fee was quite a sting." She lamented that electronic payment methods often have hidden many consumer traps. Liew Chi Yu admitted that she was afraid of trouble and has never changed her phone number since she started in the business.

Fish said that after watching the movie that Leung Yung Ting's comedic genes surprised her, praising her performance as wild with a full contrast. Leung Yung Ting humbly said that the role was attributed to the director and the writer's good writing, and asked negotiation experts for advice in advance in order to play the female police officer well. "The purpose of the negotiation is to arrest someone but not to them feel that they are suspects. I have to keep assisting him, and only take action at the right moment." She said frankly, "Our generation of actors have rarely had the opportunity to play the police film, so during the performance we have to be extra careful and strive to show the police's 'presence'. We have to be convincing even when holding a gun."

Playing a customer service employee, Michael Ning (Bak Ji) found the dialogues to be a challenge. "I have taken customer service calls, when I hear the robotic reading of the contract terms I thought was it quite a bother. This time I am play this type of character, I discover the difficulty of imitating the dialogue delivery speed and learn to respect this profession."

Bak Ji said that he has long heard about junior colleague Mak Pui Tung's performance from his buddy Alan Yeung Wai Lun and was very happy to have scenes with him in the film. "This time with Mak Pui Tung I could only lay defense. He scored points in both acting and comedy. In the film he and I are both hostages, while being held captive he had an accident from an upset stomach on the spot. With the art director's very realistic props he was able to perform seriously and express the helpless. Even I feel bad for him! This scene feel is hard to grasp, if I play his role I wouldn't know how to handle it."

Bak Ji said that dark comedy was difficult to play to begin with, in addition this movie had more group scenes. He could not only worry about his own creation and had to coordinate with the cast and the crew. He thanked the director for being willing to invest in resources, arranging for the entire team to rehearse for two days on the set.
