Veronica Yip Yuk Hing after 16 years returns to Hong Kong for the Lunar New Year film I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (NGOR OI HK 2013 GUNG HEI FAT CHOI). Two days ago she began work late at night. Hing Hing like other actors carried an umbrella in the rain but also was driven in a location cargo van. She did not even have an assistant. In comparison to her private jet and 10 karat diamond ring lifestyle in the U.S. she truly returned to a simpler life in Hong Kong and enjoyed the production.

Around 1Am, Hing Hing alone got in a film company cargo van to work in Tsim Sha Tsui. Shaw invited her to return to Hong Kong for the movie but did not even arranged a vehicle for her. However she did not mind and she did not even have an assistant. Although taking care of herself was no trouble for her, it did not meet with her identity. When Hing Hing arrived in Tsim Sha Tsui it began to pour. She went upstairs to fix her hair and came down with co-stars Jacqueline Chong Si Man, Chris Lai Lok Yi and Kayi Cheung to walk to the location. 4 workers held up a large tent as an umbrella to "transport" them to the location without getting wet. Producer Eric Tsang Chi Wai was present. Perhaps due to the weather he looked displeased, unlike his usual friendly self.

Hing Hing this time returned to Hong Kong to play a couple with Alan Tam Wing Lun. The 45 year old played a grandmother, Wong Cho Nam played her older son and Lai Lok Yi her younger son. She also had a four year old grandson. Chong Si Man played Wong Cho Nam's wife.

Yip Yuk Hing said that two nights ago was the first day of work. Earlier she took time out for costume fitting and script discussion. Before work she was very nervous. At first she thought she was just messing around and guest star for a few days, but due to media attention she did not dare to. She even asked for the results and some performance from her character. Hing Hing said, "When I first got the script, I would flub my lines as if I didn't know Chinese. I was worried that I took the wrong job. Luckily later I spoke more and got used to it." Hing Hing said that working late night was just right for her U.S. time difference. Whenever she had free time she would be with her mother and meet with friends. Hing Hing just received a video from her daughter who was crying for 30 seconds on it. "I am thinking of ways to resolve the pain of missing each other, maybe she can take a few days off from school and watch me at work in Hong Kong. This is life experience too."

Wong Cho Nam played Hing Hing's older son. He said, "20 years ago we met, at the time I even dared to ask for a photo together. I would find the photo and ask her for an autograph. I am very nervous to have the chance to work with her." Chong Si Man said that two nights ago they shot a family dinner scene. "Hing Hing isn't arrogant at all, her skin and figure were very well maintained. She got into character as soon as she took her mark. She picked up right where she left off and gave her juniors advice. While waiting, Hing Hing did not have any temper and even chatted with other actors to understand each other."
