The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMON (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) made 1.2 billion yuan at the Mainland box office. After over a year Sing Yeh's other science fiction film MERMAID (MEI YUN YUEN) finally showed some signs of life. The film's initial promotional poster has been unveiled. At the same time it will start production this year for the 2016 Lunar New Year release. Sing Yeh has always loved to recruit new actors for his films and this time was no exception as he wanted to find new comers with comedy potential to perform. Sing Yeh has made many artists overnight success, thus this recruit in the water would receive just as much attention. From now to August 15 the application will be available online. 40 applicants will be selected for audition and 4 will have a chance to perform in Sing Yeh's new film. This time he will work with new partners to choose the new actors as well, including LAN KWAI FONG (HEI OI YEH PO)'s Wilson Chin Kwok Wai. Yesterday Chin Kwok Wai urged online, "It is an opportunity to work with a legend and participate in Sing Yeh's new film."
