After Zhang Guoli's son Zhang Mi, Max Mok Siu Chung, and Roy Cheung Yiu Yeung, another artists has been arrested for drugs in the Mainland -- the only 23 year old Taiwan star of the film YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE Ko Chen-Tung. The Beijing Public Security Bureau yesterday confirmed that Ko Chen-Tung last Tuesday was arrested for drugs in Beijing. The case was currently under investigation. Ko Chen-Tung has been placed under administrative detention for 14 days. Last night the Beijing Public Security Bureau issued an official statement online, stating that Hong Konger Chan, Taiwanese Ko and Beijinger Sun were arrested on drug charges. Conceivably Chan was Jaycee Chan (Fong Cho Ming).

Two days ago suddenly Ko Chen-Tung's drug arrest rumors arose. His manager was not able to contact him at the time and the news could not be confirmed. Around 3PM yesterday, the Beijing Public Security Bureau confirmed that Ko Chen-Tung was arrested for drugs. More surprisingly he was arrested six days ago. The news pointed out that Ko Chen-Tung around arrested with Fong Cho Ming in Beijing at the same time late night last Tuesday. Reportedly they were at a party at Fong Cho Ming's home. Ko Chen-Tung after using drugs went to the bathroom but forgot to flush, leaving evidence of the crime. Currently Ko Chen-Tung has been transferred to the detention house under administration detention for 14 days.

Yesterday Mainland's Beijing News stated that this case "may involved a criminal offense" and "not simply a drug related public security case". Reportedly Public Security discovered over 50 grams of drugs, excessive the amount of "drug use" and may possibly be a drug trade charge. According to Mainland laws, anyone who traffics more than 50 grams of drugs can be sentenced to the maximum penalty of death and the minimum penalty of 3 to 5 years in prison. Two nights ago after the news broke, Ko Chen-Tung's agency boss Angie Chai did not respond and was accused of poor crisis handling. Last night Angie Chai finally issued an apology statement.

Last night the Beijing Public Security Bureau issued a statement on its official Weibo, citing that on August 14th the chief narcotics unit and the Eastern District branch in the Eastern District seized Beijinger Sun, Hong Konger Chan, Taiwanese Ko and others. After initial investigation, Chan and Ko admitted to marijuana use. The police then found over 100 grams of marijuana at Chan's home. The police on the early morning of the 15th at the Western district arrested Song, the suspect who sold Chan the drugs and recovered 11 grams of marijuana. Jackie Chan's manager Ms. Yuan said that she has not found Fong Cho Ming's whereabouts. Fong Cho Ming yesterday originally had to work on the wrap for Chen Kaige's THE MONK but did not appear on the set. Reportedly Jackie Chan's company has already informed the film company of Fong Cho Ming's absence.
