Sean Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Andrew Lau Wai Keung last night attended a magazine award event. They all received awards. Ching Wan with the film THE WHITE STORM (SO DUK) was nominated for this year's Golden Horse Award for Best Actor but lost. As for Best Actress nominee Gong Li earlier blasting the Golden Horse Awards as "unfair" and an "amateur film festival", Ching Wan admitted that he read the report and felt that everyone has their own opinion. He felt it did not matter. Did he feel that the Golden Horse Award was a small circle election? He said, "I haven't thought about whether it is small or not, I only went to participate and support it. (Was Gong Li being petty?) You have to ask her manager."

As for not winning, Ching Wan said that he of course would be happy about winning, but he would not be disappointed if he did not. Every actor should think, after the film was completed nothing else was important. He also said, "Every time when others say I am the favorite, I don't listen." As for Goo Jai who was not nominated for THE WHITE STORM, he said that after the production was completed an actor could not control awards or box office. As long as he did his best at his job then he was fine.
