Susan Shaw Yam Yam and producer Leung Lee Siu Ha yesterday attended a film forum. Both agreed that the Hong Kong film industry has already reached a sad state. Because the Mainland market was too big, co-production became a certainty. Unfortunately because it was unable to please either side, Hong Kong market has been impacted. Thus co-production was not the exit for Hong Kong film. It could only rely on making pure Hong Kong film, but domestic viewers have not been enthusiastic; thus, Shaw Yam Yam said that she had to be the role model. As long as someone was interested in making movies, she would participate without any salary consideration.
