The pandemic decimated the film industry. Earlier Emperor Motion Picture and One Cool Film reached an agreement to "save the market" as they announced to produce and distribute 10 Hong Kong films over two years in hopes that "everyone would have a job". Recently both sides have already gathered their forces in a low key way, as the first shot of their collaboration BUK YUT SING FUN (COMING SOON WEDDING) will start productions within days. This movie about the modern male and female relationship would star Carlos Chan Ka Lok and Michelle Wai Sze Nga. Other actors will include Ashina Kwok Yuk Sum and Chu Pak Hong.
Lead actor Ka Lok early this year released the Lunar New Year film YOU ARE THE ONE (NGOR DIK SHUN POON NAM YAU). Despite the pandemic it still made around HK$ 6.3 million, so he was seen as the "Fortune Kid". No wonder before BUK has even begun its official shoot it has already been slated for a Year of the Ox Lunar New Year release. Ka Lok put a lot of thought into his appearance.
