Based on a real story, the film SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE (YUT LO TUNG HUNG) two nights ago held an advanced screening. Leads Hugo Goh (Ng Toi Yung) and director Judy Chu Fung Han made an appearance. Ng Toi Yung's first blind character challenge was somewhat difficult, often half opening his eyes to look around and thus was unnatural and led to bad takes. After getting into his role he deeply sensed the fear of losing his sight. In the film he was positive and optimistic, often mediating daily conflicts between his wife Kara Wai Ying Hung and daughter Karena Ng Chin Yu. He fell into the character and said that he had a way of how the family would get along. "When the flaws of family members are magnified, once accumulated problems would occur. It would be big trouble. Everyone should magnify the positive, thinking more about the other half's silly and happy things is better than thinking about their mess-up."
The story was based on director Chu Fung Han's family. In real life her father lost his sight but was optimistic and humorous. She praised Ng Toi Yung's lively performance. Speaking of being her family's eyes since childhood, she projected how she got along with her family on the silver screen and asked Ng Chin Yu to play her student days. She praised Ng for focusing on her homework. The film is slated for a March release. As for the pandemic prevention measures being further tightened, they both said, "We have been affected for a very long time already. We will do our best, let's see how things will be then."
