The Radio Television Hong Kong (hereinafter referred to as "RTHK") organized "45th Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs" music festival took place at the Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Center's Star Hall last night, to present the 2023 music report card and to recognize outstanding music talents in front of and behind the scenes. For the 45th anniversary of the Gold Songs, RTHK invited performers from the mainland, Hong Kong and Korea for a cross-region and cross-dimensional performances in the form of a music festival to further promote Hong Kong pop culture and present the "Top 10 Chinese Gold Songs". Singer MC Cheung Tin Fu swept up 5 awards and became the big winner, and won the "Global Chinese Ultimate Gold Song Award" with THE ONE 4 U. Popular diva Gigi Yim Ming Hay won the pop singer award but did not attend to receive the award.

"The 45th Top 10 Chinese Gold Songs" with "Let's Celebrate!" as its slogan carefully arranged for a variety of cross-regional and cross-dimensional music performances in the award ceremony to further promote Hong Kong pop culture. Performing guests include South Korea's DJ Soda, the mainland girl group SING, and the Hong Kong band Supper Moment. The Hong Kong Fan Orchestra performed a number of well-known anime songs in anime cosplay, including DORAEMON, DR. SLUMP, ATTACK ON TITAN nd IDOL to open the music event.

The band Supper Moment (SM) has not performed on the Hong Kong stage for a long time and sung ORANGE SEA and ENDLESS in a row. The entire audience lit up their phone flash lights and waved. In the audience Tsang Pei Tat and JW also moved with the music. In the middle of the performance, lead singer Sunny took out a phone, ran into the audience and took selfies with the viewers and saved the memorable moment.

The event host were Alex Lee Chi Kong, Wong Tin Yee, Kity Choi Kit Tung and Brian Yuen Chung Yeung. The winners of the "Excellent Pop Singer Award" were MC Cheung Tin Fu, Jay Fung Won Him, Jason Chan Pak Yu, Mike Tsang Pei Tat, Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun, JW Wong Ho Yee, Vincy Chan (Wing Yi), Gin Lee Hung Ngai, AGA Kong Hoi Ka and Gigi Yim Ming Hay, who has recently been rumored to be leaving TVB once her contract would come to term. However the host said that Gigi was unable to attend and the award would be presented to her later. Her fellow excellent pop singer Jason Chan Pak Yu was also absent. Participting in a Commercial Radio concert performance two nights ago, Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun won two awards but did not appear. Winnng Excellent Pop Mandarin Song Award with ANOTHER TEN YEARS, Jacky Cheung was absent as well.

Also started with Gigi on STARS ACADEMY, Windy Zhan (Tsim Tin Man) and Felix Lam Chi Lok both won the Most Potential Award silver and bronze awards; the gold award went to ViuTV artist Sica Ho Lok Yiu. MIRROR, ERROR and COLLAR did not attend and did not win any award. Annoucing her departure from TVB earlier Hana Kuk Chi Kiu with the record CASUAL HIDE won the Best Chinese Record Award (female singer).

In addition to winning the Top Ten Gold Songs Awards for MAGIC CARPET, Mike Tsang Pei Tat also won the "Excellent Pop Singer Award". Winning for IMAGINARY FAIRGROUND, Hins Cheung King Hin did not attend the ceremony but still made a video to give an award speech. He also promised to create more good works this year to thank everyone.

MC Cheung Tin Fu swept up 5 awards to become a big winner. He won the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Song Award" and "Global Chinese Ultimate Gold Song Award" with THE ONE 4 U, and he also won the "Excellent Pop Singer Award", "Best Pop Male Singer Award" and "Best Chinese Record Award". On the stage he did not forget to thank his family, fans. He not only thanked Jay Fung Won Him and Wyman Wong, who wrote the music and the lyrics respectively for THE ONE 4 U, but also himself.

Creative singer Jay Fung Won Him won a total of 3 awards last night, in addition to the "CASH Best Creative Singer Award" Gold Award. His song YOU ARE MINE FOR LIFE was a "Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs". He also won the "Excellent Pop Singer Award", all of which were well deserved. Winning 3 awards, he said on stage, "As early as 2013, I was invited by RTHK Radio 2 to write songs, so I am very grateful for the support of the radio station!" He was also grateful to the fans for their support. Because he was not much of a talker and was introverted, he was grateful to the fans for liking his songs. He also thanked his boss Dr. Peter Lam Kin Ngok for giving him a lot of freedom and opportunities to make his favorite works.

The gold, silver and bronze awards of the "Most Improved Award" went to Lolly Talk, Albert Chau Kat Pui and CY Chan Chung Chak respectively. When the silver award winner Chau Kat Pui took the stage, he admitted that the last time he stepped on the stage of the RTHK Awards Ceremony as an individual was in 2008. He did not expect to have the opportunity to win the award again after 15 or 16 years, so he would like to thank his wife for always supporting him and taking care of his family. Gold Award winner Lolly Talk was missing one last night, as member Wong Wing Lam (Ah Dan) was absent due to injury. They also won the Silver Award for "Best Band/Group", the Gold Award winner of which was Dear Jane. Their record X also won the Best Chinese Record Award (Band/Group), and with WHY SO SERIOUS they won the Top Ten Gold Song Award. They said that they were happy that the record they producer was recognized. They hoped music fans would continue to buy records, as they did not want one day in the future for records to only appear in museums. The lead singer Tim said on stage that it was his son's birthday yesterday. The five-member girl group Beanies won the Bronze Award.

The mainland girl group SING sang and danced a fan dance, full of youthful energy and quite eye-catching. DJ Soda appeared in a silver bling bling ultra-low-cut evening dress and spun a number of classic Cantonese fast songs, including GRAND DEBUT, EYES WANT TO TRAVEL, SECRET LOVE IN TUTORING CLASS, DREAM COMPANION and others, as well as new song TRIPLE SWEETNESS. The live atmosphere heated up as many singers got up and danced in the audience.
