Famous artist names often would be used in swindles. Last month in the Mainland someone posted online a new actor recruitment for an Andy Lau Tak Wa new film. Several days later, Wa Jai's management company yesterday issued a simple statement. "Recently someone released information about an actor recruitment online that stated Lau Tak Wa would star in a certain new film. Wa Jai's management company issues this statement as clarification." Also swept into the storm, the Focus Artistes at the same time yesterday issued a statement and pointed out that the company had no connection to any film production. Lau Tak Wa would not participate in the film either.

Focus Artistes' statement mentioned, "The company on June 30 2014 discovered a false Mainland online post of artist recruitment for the Suosi Pictures film DOOR that starred this company's artist Lau Tak Wa. The company hereby stats that it has no connection to this film production, Mr. Lau Tak Wa would not participate in the film." Because the post left the assistant director's online account and phone number for contact, Focus Artistes called with an inquiry and issued a legal letter to demand the stop of false information. Yet on July 4th other communications like "posting for a good friend" messages with content that again continued to recruit new actors for a Lau Tak Wa new film. Focus Artistes again contacted Suosi Pictures and gained evidence of the swindle. Because the company hoped that no one would fall for the scheme, it issued the statement and reserved all rights to take legal action in the future.
