[2019.05.24] JENNIFER YU WANTS TO MAKE MOVIES THAT GIVE THE AUDIENCE SOMETHING

Jennifer Yu Heung Yi earlier attended a Hong Kong Open University film society event and shared with students how film inspired her childhood. She said that in school she already rented videos to watch at home. She also went to the movies. "In elementary school I didn't know how to watch drama, I mainly watched commercial light comedy. Film brought me a lot of joy in my childhood, watching comedy together was a family activity."

As an actor now, she hoped to be able to bring something to others through film. "In recent years Hong Kong films have less comedy, instead they are more movies about the community and humanity. Children now are different from my childhood, the school pressure is enormous. Maybe these films are more suitable for them. Like DISTINCTION (FEI TUNG FAN HEUNG), many parents brought their children to watch, learn about other things in the community and make them think."
