The film THE SECRET DIARY OF A MOM-TO-BE (BABY FOOK SAU GEI) told the story of "child birth", which has always been an extraordinary journey that couples wanted to go through together; and witnessed the transformation from girls to mothers. In the film close friends DaDa Chan Jing, Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Venus Wong Man Yik and Koyi Mak Chi Yi grew up together and would talk about anything and everything. The actresses became close due to this film. During the shoot they often talked about topics like how to lose weight and love on the set, after the shoot ended they still remained in contact. When the producer invited them to sing the film theme song HERE ON THIS DAY, they saw it as a gift because recording together was a very pleasant experience and made them look forward to be able to sing the song hand in hand on the stage one day.

The film theme song lyrics were like a chapter in the diary of a girl, depicting the friendship and the struggle, joy and sadness that girls experienced while growing up. Thus during the recording the actresses very easily got into the emotions of the song. Although all four had separate recording experience previously, it was the first time they sang with other actors. The women on the recording day were very cheerful, extremely energetic and happy. Dada, Jennifer, Venus said, "The first time Koyi went to record the song in the studio, she was too passionate. Her part could be edited into a part on its own." Koyi said, "I have a habit, even if I was providing my voice to a movie; my whole body has to move to feel right, only that would there be emotions." Jennifer also pointed out that the song was not easy to sing. Venus said, "You are a professional singer so only you would know which part wasn't easy to sing. We don't know where to be afraid of." Dada also mentioned that after the shoot this recording was a rare reunion for the four, bringing back a lot of memories from working on THE SECRET DIARY OF A MOM-TO-BE for her.
