After 3 years without a physical exhibition due to the pandemic, the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market (FILMART) has confirmed its return this year. Varoius major film and television units have decided to invest heavily on marketing, with the Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Simon Yam Tat Wa starred THE GOLDFINGER (GUM SAU JI) in direct confrontation in the summer with the Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Sean Lau Ching Wan and Louis Koo Tin Lok starred THE WHITE STORM 3: HEAVEN OR HELL (SO DUK 3: YUN JOI TIN NGAI)! TVB has decided to abandon its participation due to the "tight schedule".

This year's FILMART has confirmed the return of its physical exhibition, but the exhibition period would run from about a week in the past to 4 days between March 13th and 16th. The pace would be even more intense. Due to the Hong Kong government's easing of entry and mask mandate removal, various major film and television media outlets would be full of confidence in the entertainment business development in the coming year. They have decided to join in and "build stalls" to attract clients and would even hold press conferences to generate buzz.

Reportedly, Emperor Motion Pictures alone has already invested a million to heavily promote its feature films THE GOLDFINGER, BURSTING POINT (BAU LIT DIM), CUSTOMS FRONTLINE (HOI GUAN JIN SIN) and UNDER CURRENT (NOI MOK) among others. Best Actors including Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and others might appear on stage on the 14th. Recently rumored to have broken up with Mainland model He Sui, William Chan Wai Ting after completing his vacation with his mother would return to Hong Kong to attend the event and become the media's target.

Various film companies would invest heavily on promoting at FILMART. Because the market has gradually returned to normal, they have been aiming at the summer and the October 1st golden slots! Aside from Universe's decision to release the Kwok Fu Sing, Lau Ching Wan and Koo Tin Lok starred THE WHITE STORM 3: HEAVEN OR HELL on July 28th, the Leung Chiu Wai and Yam Tat Wa starred Emperor Motion Picture THE GOLDFINGER also has targeted this period. With several Best Actors "clustering" around the summer vacation period, drama has developed on and off camera. Reportedly, film companies have put a lot of thought into the cast list order issue to keep from disappointing anyone. The Cheung Ka Fai, Chan Wai Ting and Shaun Tam Chun Yin starred BURSTING POINT's post production has already been almost 80% completed. Its first trailer would be released at FILMART and the film has been tentatively scheduled for a "October 1st" slot release.

ViuTV this time would focus its marketing on the guy group ERROR and Jessica Hester Hsuan (Suen Huen) starred new series GANGSTER GOOD MAN (GIK DOH CHIU LONG GWUN), and the MIRROR members Ian and Anson Kong starred SPARK (BING SEUNG FOR FA). Conceivably the two major guy groups would "attract fans" at the press conference on the 15th and cause a stir then; Mainland actor Huang Bo would also come to Hong Kong to promote his new film.

FILMART has planned an official large scale opening ceremony on the 13th and later would announce its official guest lists. The 16th Asian Film Awards would take place on the 12th, as Japan's Hiroshi Abe, Korea's Park Hae-Il, and Taiwan's Greg Hsu would come to Hong Kong to attend. On the day before, the event would turn the exciting moments of the past 15 award ceremonies into an exhibit retrospective, and invited goddesses Lin Minchen and Vivian Sung to attend and interact with fans.

TVB 3 years ago strongly supported FILMART, but as everything "returned to normal after the pandemic, this year it has yet to appear on its list. TVB Enterprise communication department director Bonnie Wong Tak Wai yesterday replied, "Because the government's decision to fully lift the pandemic prevention measures was announced within this week, it wasn't within the company's expectation. At the same time we don't want to rush into participating, so we can only wait until next year."

Would the company participate in other events outside FILMART to promote to foreign buyers its new series or programs? She said that every year the company would provide a program rundown for the media and clients as a full introduction to TVB's latest and in production products. The media and clients would personally visit the Television City to participate in the large scale event. "TVB frequently promotes, so in order to get an understanding of the newest series everyone can attend the annual large scale program preview at the Television City in Tseung Kwan O."
