The Gordon Lam Ka Tung starred film DUST TO DUST (DAI BAK GOR YIM YI YUN) held its premiere two nights ago. The film's producer Soi Cheang Pou Soi, director Jonathan Li Tsz Chun, Derek Yee Tung Sing and Gladys Li Ching Kwan attended. Ka Tung was asked about the rumor that he would return to TVB for a high ranking executive position. Ka Tung said that over the years he has experienced many storms and for a very long time. One Cool Film has also approached him, but he would not eliminate any possibility. Now he would focus on creating screenplays first. Has TVB contacted him? Ka Tung admitted, "They have asked me to go back to perform. (Why would you be rumored to be returning for the production department head position?) I am interested in even being a cinematographer." Ka Tung again asked everyone not to be too serious with rumors. "At this moment I haven't accepted anything, only caught wind of it. Since it's blowing outside, then just let it blow by!" He also said that right now he would focus on work and see when Producer Cheang and Director Li would ask him to make DUST TO DUST 2.

In addition, speaking of film production Cheang Pou Soi and Li Tsz Chun both denied that they tortured Ka Tung. Was Ka Tung injured on the set? He joked that he got hurt even from a dramatic scene, but it was just a scratch. Instead his biggest challenge was speaking Putonghua the whole time. When asked whether his Putonghua was very fluent? Cheang Pou Soi joked, "You can tell that Ka Tung was speaking Putonghua." Ka Tung also said that this time he was the happiest about being able to work with the mainland team.

The film performed well at the mainland box office. Its mainland actor Da Peng even received the Jin Jue Award Best Actor. Was he confident about the film's Hong Kong box office? Ka Tung said instead he would like good word of mouth, as he really wanted the audience to accept and like it. He said, "Originally I had a chance, but the movie was too long and some scenes were cut. Da Peng's performance was very professional, for the role he gained and lost weight." Cheang Pou Soi explained that scenes were cut for a balance between scenes of both sides of the law.
