THE FILM ABANG ADIK (FU DOH CHING NIN) two nights ago held its 20th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival premiere. Producer Lee Sinje, director Lay Ong, actors Wu Kang-ren, Jack Tan and Serene Lim attended. Malaysian star Lee Sinje revealed that this year she has been rather busy, aside from film she also released a record and performed concerts. Fortunately she and her husband already had an understanding and one of them would try to stay home for the kids. She also praised her husband as a very responsible father.

Lee Sinje came to Hong Kong again after 4 years and missed the Hong Kong viewers very much. She pointed out that she came to Hong Kong to promote her previous film THE GARDEN OF EVENING MISTS, then the pandemic hit. Earlier she came to Hong Kong for a day for her documentary to meet with viewers, give them a pleasant surprise and thank everyone for their support.

Sinje would not stay too long on this trip either, after work she would return home to see her two sons. "Because this year I have been very busy. I worked in Taiwan, released a record and performed concerts. I also had documentary film releases. From the end of last year to now, I spent less time at home than outside." While she came to Hong Kong to promote, the twin sons were under care of husband Oxide Pang Shun. Her parents would also come to watch their grandchildren. Between she and her husband they would try to have at least one of them at home for the children. "Luckily we have two, they wouldn't get bored as long as someone is with them. In addition they are happier with Papa. Papa would be a little more relaxed, I would have many rules. However for children to have individual relationships with Papa and Mama, they would learn different lessons and have different developments." Sinje praised her husband as a responsible father, but still focused on his directing. Since the pandemic he has made two movies, the one starring Andy Lau Tak Wa is still in post production.

After returning to Malaysia, Sinje would prepare to attend the Golden Horse Award. Aside from ABANG ADIK's seven nominations, her film TALES OF TAIPEI was also selected to be this year's Golden Horse Film Festival closing film.

On this trip to Hong Kong, Sinje said that she caught up with her friend Gigi Leung Wing Kei right away and was also prepared to meet with Karena Lam Ka Yan. Has she consoled the recently divorced Ka Yan? Sinje said, "We are all mature people, and would maturely handle this decision. No matter what the decision is, we would choose lives that we are happy with!"

Taiwan actor Wu Kang-ren was rather nervous while attending the premiere two nights ago. Although he has seen it in film festivals in Udine and Switzerland, this was still the first stop in Asia. Thus he would show appreciation to the audience. Malaysian actor Jack Tan said that he also wanted to share his production experience with the audience. Because he has not been to Hong Kong in 8 years, he saw that Hong Kong has changed a lot. In particular last time he came as a music group to perform in Hong Kong, this time he came as an actor. He felt that film would be more able to make the audience remember the character, its influence would be even greater. He also said that he has loved Hong Kong film and television since he was little, and Hong Kong culture has always influenced him. Which Hong Kong actor would he like to work with? Jack Tan said, "Lam Ka Tung, he is very excellent. I also want to work with directors Cheang Pou Soi and Mak Siu Fai." Wu Kang-ren has also performed in two Hong Kong films, he has his eyes on Teresa Mo Shun Kwan. "The last time I watched Lee Sinje's concert in Taiwan, when I saw Sister Mo I was very nervous. I didn't dare to go and say hi and take a photo. Next time I have to do that." He also said that he looked forward to be able to work with Sister Mo, as a couple or mother and son he would have no problem. However he would first have to practice his Cantonese. Speaking of Wu Kang-ren's girlfriend Ivy Shao and the daring bed scene in her new film LOST IN PERFECTION, Wu Kang-ren said that he would not mind because she was also an actor and had her responsibilities to her profession. After returning to Taiwan later he would support her and watch her performance.

As for the film box office, Serene Lim said that it was not for actors to consider. Actors' duties lay with having the homework done before the performance, it would be hard to review how her own performance was. However she felt Wu Kang-ren and Jack Chen performed very well. For his directing debut the director was very focused on the production.
