The Emperor Motion Picture THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) has been a critical and commercial success; not only did it sweep up multiple film awards but in terms of box office, last weekend it surpassed the 2018 release of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR to officially became the third highest-grossing film in Hong Kong history. The extended version entered its second week in release and its box office has been rising to become the Chinese language film with the most people admitted this past weekend.

In the extended version, Chau Ka Yee pondered the question of her boyfriend's original family on the beach. This scene seemed to be sunny on the screen, but actually the day of the shoot was the coldest few days of the year at that time. Ka Yee said, "The temperature was only 9 degrees (Celsius), so I had multiple layers on to keep warm. Fortunately the weather was beautiful. Although the temperature was low but the sun was shining, which shaped up to be very suitable for the production effect; it was simply a perfect day."
