Fala Chen was the lead actress in the Nick Cheung Ka Fai directed and starred PEG O' MY HEART (SHOOK MUNG). In order to participate in this movie, Fala has been commuting between Hong Kong and the United States for more than two months. She even returned to Hong Kong for 3 days and 2 nights to promote the film. In an interview, Fala talked about her first collaboration with Ka Fai.

Participating in a film directed by Ka Fai for the first time, did she have any pressure? Fala laughed, "I know that I give him a little more pressure, because it was the first time we worked together. Ka Fai knows his script very well and how to shoot and act, so he would take me with him at work." She also praised Ka Fai for being very precise. Unfortunately she went to France with her family at Christmas, and the food was currently quite tempting. Fala revealed hat during a photo shoot she could only use a "dirty trick" to slim down her face. She joked, "Ka Fai claims to have lost a lot of pounds. I lost 10 pounds, but I didn't look it. On camera in particular I might not look very thin. During the photo shoot I used a 'dirty trick'. I bit my cheeks so I would look thinner, but during the shoot while delivering dialogues that wouldn't work."

Fala once collaborated with Terrance Lau Chun Him on the stage play SKYLIGHT. Working together again after nearly 9 years, they unfortunately only had one scene together. Fala admitted that she was disappointed, and praised him. When he did the stage play back then he had just graduated. Now he could be the leading actor on his own, which was very powerful.
