The Chong Keat Aun directed and written film PAVANE FOR AN INFANT (YIU NAM FAN SAI) tells the story of a 24-hour abandoned baby shelter in Kuala Lumpur, where female volunteers work day and night to care for them. Chong Keat Aun pointed out that he chose the "Abandoned Baby Cabin" as the subject because the investor wanted to shoot something about social issues, and few knew about the "Abandoned Baby Cabin" in Malaysia. In addition the number of abandoned babies has increased after the pandemic, so he decided to shoot this subject. Chong Keat Aun collected information before starting production. Because protecting the data provider and the interviewees was necessary, including students who were volunteers in the "abandoned baby cabin" and the prototype character of Liew Chi Yu's role in the film, all the information had to be kept confidential. Thus they could only watch from a distance.

Liew Chi Yu listened to the obstetrician and gynecologist explain the process of cutting the umbilical cord, the correct way to hold a baby and changing diapers for the role before hand. She realized that she had a talent for holding a baby. "My sister is six years younger than me, when she was little I carried her all day long. In addition I carry the cat like a baby all the time.
