Veteran artist Suet Nei (originally named Lee Chiu Shun) passed away from pancreatic cancer at the hospital on the 3rd of this month at the age of 78, and her famous action director husband Tang Chia (Tong Kai, Brother Kai) also passed away after falling from a building less than two weeks before. Their family held a wake at the Universal Funeral Parlor for them. The funeral was held in a low-key manner in accordance with their wishes, using non-religious ceremonies. No media was permitted to enter the mourning hall for interviews, and photography was strictly prohibited. The funeral would take place at 10 o'clock this morning, and the coffins was immediately transported to the Cape Collinson crematorium for cremation.

As seen at the scene, a photo of the two together was placed in the center of the mourning hall, with a horizontal plaque of "Forever Remembered" hanging above, and wreaths were placed on both sides. Having been in the entertainment industry for more than half a century, Suet Nei and Tong Kai were very popular in the circle. A large number of people in the circle sent floral arrangements in mourning, including John Chiang Dai Wai and Maggie Li Linlin, Derek Yee Tung Sing, Sean Lau Ching Wan and his wife, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Charmaine Sheh Sze Man, Law Chi Yik and Tavia Yeung Sin Hiu, Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung and his wife, Gallen Law Ka Leung and his wife Su Yan, Francis Ng Chun Yu, Chin Siu Ho, Yuen Woo Ping, Hong Kong Film Directors Guild and Television Broadcasts Co. Ltd., etc. Liza Wang Ming Chuen, Law Kar Ying, Ti Lung and his son Shawn Tam Chun Yin, Stanley Kwan Kam Peng, Felix Wong Yat Wah, Chin Kar Lok, Angela Tong Ying Ying, Bosco Wong Chung Chak and dozens of other artists came to express their condolences.

The president of the Hong Kong Action Stuntmen Association Chin Kar Lok spoke on behalf of the family, revealing that Tong Kai and Suet Nei will be buried together. He regretted, "Actually after I became the president, I really wanted to present the Outstanding Contribution Award to Brother Kai but he was low-key and politely declined." He also recalled that he started working with and learning from Brother Kai when he was young, he met the couple for tea half a year ago. At the time Sister Suet Nei did not look any different, so he did not know about her illness. He deeply regretted the passing of the couple one after another. Nicknamed "Snake Head", Brother Kai was a great elder in the stunt professional world and an important figure in the industry, many stunt people who grew up with him missed him very much. He said that Ti Lung, Chiang Dai Wai, Yee Tung Sing, Petrina Fung Bo Bo, Nancy Sit Ka Yin, Jackie Chan and others also took the initiative to contact him to get an understanding of the situation and send their condolences. The family members did not have any financial difficulty. Tong Kai's nephew Chan Kwok Kuen and others would handle the funeral and the association would do its best to send members to help.

In addition, the family issued a statement in advance that no photography was allowed in the mourning hall. Yet some media outlets were secretly filming. Kar Lok believed that it was just disrespectful behavior of individual media members. The family and he himself also respected the media very much, and hoped that everyone would respect each other.

Ti Lung looked sad and praised Brother Kai for being "affectionate and righteous", and the husband and wife had a "love that was stronger than gold". Law Kar Ying once worked with Tong Kai on the film THE CHINESE FEAST (GUM YUK MOON TONG). He recalled that he witnessed Brother Kai's martial arts accruements at the age of 6 when Brother Kai and Lau Kar Leung performed somersaults as stunt people at the Ko Shing Theater. He praised his lasting affection, as every year he could visit Cantonese Opera star Chan Kam Tong and his wife. The Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong required many stunt people to perform somersaults for an annual celebration every year, but all the stunt people went to make movies. He called Brother Kai for help. As soon as he called, all the stunt people went to help. He lamented that Brother Kai and wife going to Heaven together was fortunate among misfortunes and he wished may they reach Heaven soon as a couple and be together forever. Liza Wang Ming Chuen revealed that she has worked with Suet Nei in WARS OF IN-LAWS (NGOR DIK YEH MAN NAI NAI), and with Brother Kai in FULL MOON SCIMITAR (YUEN YUET WAN DOH), and felt reluctant to part with them.

In addition when Brother Kar Ying was asked about his physical condition, he was open-minded and told everyone not to worry. He said that he still had 9 years and plenty of time to play and travel. He also joked that Ah Jeh could be even more amiable.

Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung said that when he entered the industry, Brother Kai was an action director, and he and Sister Suet Nei also collaborated on many dramas. The two took good care of their junior colleagues. He pointed out that the funeral did not have any ceremony, a nd the video footage and photos were broadcast in the venue. Everyone missed working with them.
