Recently Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Korean star Song Hye-Kyo have been rumored to star in the Hollywood director Roland Jaffe directed new film about Dr. Sun Yat-Sen to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Xinhai Revolution. Wai Jai and Song Hye-Kyo would play Dr. Sun and Song Hing Ling. According to Wai Jai's management company Jet Tone, "We heard about it but it may not happen. We need further discussion."

Wai Jai's next film would probably be the Derek Yee Tung Sing directed film GREAT MAGICIAN, which was based on Zhang Haifan's novel of the same name. The film will start production in early March and Wai Jai will unlikely be at two places at the same time. After Song Hye-Kyo was rumored to be Song Hing Ling, people asked online why a foreigner would play the mother of the nation. Producer thought that Song as the 22 year old Song Hing Ling looked very similar. In addition the film's marketing factor in other Asian regions had to be considered.
