OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) after six days in release broke 100 million yuan in the Mainland to become the first Chinese commercial film to break the mark this summer. As for its Hong Kong box office, after eight days it already passed 10 million. The film company yesterday held a press conference in Beijing. Producer Derek Yee Tung Sing, directors Alan Mak Siu Fai, Felix Chong Man Keung, stars Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), Huang Yi, and Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen) arrived. The most surprising was that Goo Jai who injured his leg earlier also attended in support on crutches.

When the event began, Bon film industry chief Yu Dong pointed out, "This film has already broken the TRIPLE TAP (CHEUNG WONG JI WONG)'s earlier Chinese police film record. Right now it is the Bona film with the highest first week box office and the fastest Chinese commercial film to pass 100 million this summer." He pointed out that this celebration was a "hero meeting", meaning that OVERHEARD 2's record was due to each box office hero's hard work. He was very confident that OVERHEARD 2 box office would head to 300 million yuan.

Producer Yee Tung Sing at the event congratulated Chong Man Keung and Mak Siu Fai. Chong and Mak also took the chance to express thank to the audience. Chong Man Keung pointed out that the success of the film was not only due to the team's effort but also the audience's support. Originally recovering at home, Koo Tin Lok also appeared and stated that originally he wanted to participated in the OVERHEARD 2 premiere and national promotional tour. However his leg has not recovered and he could not, which he regretted. His doctor and manager originally prohibited him from attending this celebration, but now with the film's commercial and critical success, he wanted to meet the audience to share this joy. He also would like to make OVERHEARD 3 with the team.

Lau Ching Wan said that this series of films was sentimental to him because it changed him. He said, "After making WRITTEN BY (JOI SUN HO) for awhile I didn't want to make another film. OVERHEARD changed my mind." He also hoped that this series would continue. Originally Ng Yin Cho could not confirm whether he would attend but he still took time to so the Three Musketeers finally reunited.

Speaking of OVERHEARD 2's copyright violation, Yu Dong pointed out that Chinese film relied on the audience to have a healthy development. As long as the movie was good they should support it. Otherwise the industry would never positively develop.
