The Hong Kong Asian Film Festival 2012 two nights ago held its closing ceremony and invited Josie Ho Chiu Yi to present the New Asian Director award, which went to Thai director Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit. Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung also attended. The event selected famous Korean director Kim Duk-Ki's film PIETA as the closing film. Tsang Kwok Cheung said that he came for Kim Duk-Ki's film. "This director has won an award at the Venice Film Festival. I admire him very much."
Tsang Kwok Cheung earlier attended his friend Sam Lee Chan Sam's wedding banquet. He said that Lee Chan Sam's wedding was more mild mannered than he imagined. "Lee Chan Sam didn't drink too much. When I left he was still sober." As for his father Eric Tsang Chi Wai getting drunk at every banquet and needed friends to take him home, Tsang Kwok Cheung said, "Papa is working on a new film and has to negotiate the arrangements, so at Lee Chan Sam's wedding banquet he left in the middle."
Tsang Kwok Cheung also said that he was busy with his new film TRIAD (JAT JIK)'s promotion and learned that the film box office was ideal. He said, "Our goal was only 3 to 5 million at the box office. If we will be able to reach 10 million, it will be a great performance."
