Best Actor Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok, Hu Jun, Andy Tien (On Chi Kit), William Chan Wai Ting and others starred in the Emperor Motion Picture AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG), which will open in early January. The film's final "dust explosion" scene was a major scene in th film. Playing firefighters, Tse Ting Fung, Yam Tat Wa and ON Chi Kit in order to bring survivors out of the fire tossed flour into the air, then ignited the air to cause and explosion, and escaping through the resulting hole. The team used 30 bags of 25 kilogram flour, as everyone inhaled a lot of flour. On Chi Kit said that at night when he cleaned out of his nose, only white powder came out!

The film also used a lot of thick smoke to bring about a more realistic fire scene. The actors stated that working on the thick smoke scenes was very difficult. Yam Tat Wa said, "This smoke really made us cough. After the shoot everyone in the body including the lungs were black."

Ting Fung's Post Production Office Ltd. performed the post production on the film. Ting Fung also said that the smoke post production was very difficult. "Smoke is the hardest to control, even harder than fire and water in post production. Thus this post production to me was a challenge."

Everyone put a lot of blood and sweat into making AS. Every actors trained until they were a size larger. Yue Man Lok and Hu Jun would arm wrestle on the set. Ting Fung would be their referee. Ting Fung said, "Our team was a lot of fun, a very rare, healthy and united team. No one expected the seven or eight men would be together even when they ate. Even after the wrap we would still dine together."
