Louis Koo finally has time to promote courtesy of mingpao.com |
Louis Koo Tin Lok, Sean Lau Ching Wan and Nick Cheung Ka Fai starred in the film THE WHITE STORM (SO DUK). After 13 days in release its box office has already broken HK$23 million. Busy with a film, Goo Jai last night finally was able to take time to help with the promotion as he and director Benny Chan Muk Sing went to a Mongkok cinema for audience appreciation. Goo Jai said, "Aside from the great box office, Ka Fai also complained to me that he did all the earlier promotion alone." Goo Jai felt that with the box office success, the boss should treat the team to a vacation. The destination would be the further the better, the best would be a country that used American dollars or Euros. He joked, "I haven't gone on a vacation for a long time, normally I flew back and forth only for promotion. If the boss really treats us to a vacation, I would definitely make time to participate. The boss shouldn't be mistaken that a dinner would do it, even if he set us up to streak it would be useless. Aside from the vacation he should give away big lai sees."
Reportedly Ka Fai due to the film's success had quite a substantial raise. Goo Jai said that he did not know whether he had an adjustment because he left the salary for his manager to handle. The most important was good box office and word of mouth, otherwise all the salary would be useless. As for the director's interest in a sequel with the original team, Goo Jai said, "The subject should still have the word 'so' (sweep), like 'so wong' (sex sweep)." Would he be willing to work with transgender co-star Poyd? He said, "That would depend on what we will be sweeping first." Goo Jai said that he will remain in Hong Kong for a film during Christmas but will make time to celebrate.
