The film ONCE UPON A TIME IN SHANGHAI (NGOK JIN) two nights ago held its premiere. Actors Philip Ng Won Lung and Andy Tien (On Chi Kit) dressed up for the occasion. The "Tse Family" sans one showed their support for On Chi Kit, including Patrick Tse Yin, Nicholas Tse, Deborah Li, only old flame Jennifer Tse Ting Fung was absent.

When Ting Fung arrived with Lai Goo and Moustache Kong, reporters flocked to take photos. They left the front of the stage empty and the situation became awkward. The host had to call for a stop. Finally he suggested for Ting Fung to come to the stage for photos. Soon after, Sei Gor arrived alone and caused a stir. The host helplessly called for another stop and invited Sei Gor to the stage for photos. On Chi Kit was asked if he felt embarrassed to see Lai Goo? He said, "No, earlier at the AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG) event I also saw Lai Goo, Moustache Kong and Sei Gor."

Ng Won Lung played his first lead actor role. He said that he was very nervous about attending the premiere and hoped to be able to see the audience reaction inside. Speaking of not seeing his girlfriend Linda Chung Ka Yun there, Ng Won Lung said, "She is working in Korea. Originally she would attend, but the premiere changed its date." He said that he would save a ticket for Chung Ka Yun.

Ng Won Lung was very happy that action director Yuen Woo Ping (Lord Eight) attended to show his support. "Lord Eight is a key figure in the film. Working with him is very comfortable, without any stress at all." Speaking of Ting Fung becoming Jackie Chan's successor, would he see him as a rival? Ng Won Lung said, "No, anyone who makes action film is a brother. We have our principles, which is walking together is better than walking alone."
